Rus and his team did an incredible job installing my staircase! They showed extraordinary attention to detail, amazing craftsmanship, and had a lot of pride in doing the job well. In addition to being fine craftsman, Rus was very easy to communicate with (he always answered phone calls, and texts quickly), they showed up on the day and time that they had promised, and they finished the job in the amount of time originally estimated. Additionally, they were very careful with our home. As you can see in the photos, they covered all the floors and our entryway while they were working. Lastly, Rus and his crew were genuinely nice. I have worked with a lot of construction crews, and I’ve run into quite a few grumps. It’s nice to meet a group of guys who obviously enjoy their work, it clearly showed in their demeanor. I gave Rus and his crew my highest recommendation. If you are thinking of installing a staircase or need carpentry done, don’t hesitate to use them.

Russ removed old existing staircase railings and put in brand new railings that matched our new wood flooring and staircase. He did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him for any work you need to do on your staircase railings.

I hired Stairville Carpentry to redo the staircase from the first to the second floor, but the work resulted in a safety hazard and unfinished craftsmanship. While extending each tread by 1 inch, he failed to extend the lower landing to match, leaving it misaligned with the step above. This creates a serious risk of falling down the stairs. He also left the balusters unfinished. When I addressed these issues, he refused to fix them without additional payment, calling it a “change order.” This was not a change order but a failure to complete the job safely and properly. Despite multiple attempts to work with him, he refused to take responsibility for his mistakes. I ultimately had to escalate the matter to the contractor licensing board. His lack of ethics, accountability, and care for client safety is unacceptable. Avoid Stairville Carpentry if you value professionalism and quality work.
