SWAN Plumbing, Heating & Air

Swan charged me $315.00 for 20 minutes' worth of easy work replacing a vacuum breaker on a Watts Hose Bib. The parts cost about $5.00. THIS IS MORE THAN $300 per hour. I was a plumber so I know what this should have cost. I am 71 years old and was busy with my girlfriend's health I used Swan for a Furnace and water heater when I bought this home. BUT NEVER AGAIN!!

This review is mainly regarding their club membership which is supposed to provide yearly tune ups for your AC & furnace (twice a year Spring/Fall). They consistently cancel and reschedule the appoints so often that the tune ups end up being mid winter for heat and mid summer for AC. One furnace reschedule went from October to December. Today I received email and text confirmations of my appointment for tomorrow. Then I received a call asking me if I would like to reschedule to an opening today that had just become available. I let the rep know that I could not because of a previous appointment and that I would like to keep my current appointment. I was acknowledged and hung up. Minutes later my appointment was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and I needed to call back in. i got the same rep. When asked why I wasn't informed that my appointment would be cancelled if I didn't take the earlier one: we just had back to back emergencies come up (in less than 5 minutes). I was rescheduled to next week but decided to call back and simply cancel my membership. Again got the same rep. She cancelled without even asking why. They don't care. If you have big ticket item ($$$$) they will likely be on time. If you are just trying to get a tune up and prevent unwanted costly repairs (a big selling point for their membership), then you are not a priority even though you pay $240/year for the privilege of being consistently canceled and rescheduled. Not worth it in the long run.

Chris Hoffman was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. We had a toilet leaking from the base and he diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced the wax seal and had the repair completed in less than an hour.

Right now I am happy and hoping everything will work in the future also. In value for the money, that is a hard question to answer as this is my first time buying a water heater. Chris is very knowledgeable.

Overall the service was excellent. Only one time that it was scheduled for service to check the water heater but the scheduled person didnâ  t show up and no phone calls to let me know. The rescheduled next day was great. John showed up and solved the problem easily.

TJ and Jamison did an excellent job on installing my new unit. Because the previous unit was so old as well as the heater they had their work cut out for them. They explained everything that I needed them to. I would highly recommend Swan to anyone. I will use them again next time I need Plumbing, Heating or Air.

Gives very detailed information about services needed. Also willing to answer all questions no matter mundane it sounds.

Zane listened and understood the mission, communicated very well and went the extra mile to resolve our service issue. He found and corrected an illusive whistle when furnace fan was on high that was audible on living level. He made a couple other quick fixes when additional minor irritations in our system were pointed out. Very professional, courteous and a pleasure to have working around our home. Wasn't given an estimate of charges, so can't rate value for money. If it was under warranty, then I guess it's five-star.
