Sabas Handyman Services

I've hired Sabas on 2 occasions. The first time he did a solid job on the bathroom. The second time around not so much. Around June 2020, I've requested his services for a ceiling leak in the kitchen where there was a gaping hole in order to get to the pipe where the supposed leak was at. He took approx 2 wks to come over saying it was busy; I said fine I understand. The few weeks turned into another few more weeks until he finally did the service almost 6 weeks later since the initial request which is ridiculous. He gave me full confidence he would be able to get the project completed and on time. It was a 2 day job that turned 4 weeks or longer for no reason except for he was very busy on his end with other projects. Just to add, the funny part to this whole thing is that he wanted to charge me over a thousand dollars for a simple plaster job and pipe cover which shouldn't cost that much. He then tells me that he'll charge me half which is very odd for such a huge discount at 50%; I believe he was being greedy and taking advantage of me. I told him that there was a leak cause we saw water droppings 2 wks prior but for whatever reason it stopped leaking for awhile before he began work on it. But he told me in full confidence multiple times there was no leak at all. I said fine cause it doesn't make sense to plaster the ceiling if there's still a leak, common sense. He told me that he was going to wrap a material around the pipe area where he might've suspected any potential leaks that could occur just for safe assurance. He completed the task although it took over 1.5 months to do it. After 2 more weeks after completion, there was more water damage and the ceiling basically went back to how it was before. I was infuriated because it was another leak and he told me there was no leak multiple times and he would wrap the pipe with material to ensure it doesn't happen in the future. So after looking at everything he lied to me about the leak not being there, not wrapping the pipe with material to prevent any leaks in the future, and the plastering was a cheap cover up that he thought would be over $1,000. He comes to my location whenever there's business in the area not acknowledging that he has a project to finish and he also took almost 2 weeks to give me a receipt which is insane. He comes to my place and is talking w/ someone else knowing he's on my time and I'm paying for him. He's unprofessional and also lied while also trying to overcharge me. The only good thing if any was that he offered to either refund me or do a better job on it but I decided to move forward with an actual professional. Now I have to resubmit my insurance claim and go thru the process that took this contractor 2 months to do a 3 day job. I will never hire him again after this big blunder to where now I have to move on to another contractor and get this done before end of Sept. It's a wast of time and money but I hate folks that are untruthful. Be careful w/ this man. Make sure he's accountable on your time and always get a second opinion to ensure he's not deliberately over charging you. It's unfortunate because he did a solid the job the first time but things happen.

Jeremiah was great. Came early and stayed late. I never saw him take a break. He worked super hard to the point where I wanted him to take it easier on some hot humid late August days. The work (complete removal and retiling of bathroom) came great. He also took out and installed the fixtures. Except for one little snafu at the end which he resolved everything worked out great. We are already recommending him to friends.

Punctual each day, reliable, trustworthy, professional, cleaned after each dayâ  s work, completed the job in the time we discussed at the beginning, etc. Demolition of wall, create a new closet, skim coat, plaster, paint, install doors, partial wood floor, They made my vision/dream come true. It is evident that Jeremiah and his team love the work that they are doing. Have already recommended them to others. Would definitely hire them again.

I hired Jeremiah to install a backsplash, repair some tiles in the bathroom, and various other small jobs. He was professional, reliable and skillful. My husband and I are extremely pleased with the work he did for us. We will definitely hire him to do future projects, and highly recommend him.

My mom and I were blessed to come in contact with Jeremiah. We recently moved into a huge 1 B/R apt in the Bronx and I hired Jeremiah to install ceiling rods in my living room to create a separate space for my mom. I also had him install curtain rods, hang pictures on the walls, hang a door mirror and a few other small tasks. He arrived on time and was fully prepared; a true professional. Additionally, he was extremely helpful, patient and courteous. Everything was perfectly done and we simply can't stop talking about him. He is truly the best. Thanks so much Jeremiah. Sabas Handyman Services is excellent. Jeremiah is very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and insightful. He was awesome. He did high quality work for a good price. We had him retile our back splash, install a sink, do some painting, carpentry repairs to the kitchen (including installing some cabinets) and other work. He was fast as well as responsive. We were extremely pleased!! We highly recommend him and would definitely hire again.

Mr. Auguste was a true professional. The work was done perfectly, we are very happy. He was always on-time and very courteous. We plan to have Mr. Auguste perform additional work. He is the best contractor we have ever hired.

Reasonable price. Did the work as agreed. Complied with building rules and provided mandatory paperwork expediently. He is a professional. He came out to us to provide the estimate and to do the work in the worst weather conditions both times. Not a minute . late. He did not even mention the weather. If he had cancelled we would have understood. We said this is the guy. We are hard workers and we can really appreciate someone like Jeremiah. He does not waste time. Works quietly.

Jeremiah Auguste was able to handle all the jobs I presented professionally. He assembled two loft beds in less time than the manufacturers estimate, repaired several loose legs on dining room chairs and repaired a broken hinge on a very delicate shadowbox. I have already recomended him to friends

Jeremiah was great. He came quickly to give an estimate and was flexible with the actual work schedule. But really the best part was the work itself.
