Sabino The Tile Guy

I do not down rate vendors lightly. I have worked as a contractor your reputation is everything and how they make money by referrals and testimonials so please read. The job was to replace 8 tiles that were in a high traffic area from our fridge to our sink in an island. For some reason the cracked spanning across the floor. Sabino contacted me via text and we chatted back and forth as I procured tiles the builder did not leave us. After a few weeks I let him know we had the tile and grout in hand and set a time. He texted the night before to confirm. All good. Sabino showed up on the day agreed upon we moved the fridge out with and extension cord, so he did not have to move it alone. He arrived in the morning started work. Within a few hours of demo, he had cracked 3 tiles that were not cracked before. I ordered two boxes to be safe since this was not an easy job and I knew we might need a few extra. We discussed the manual extraction method he was using based on not making a mess. We discussed using a tile saw and decided to move forward knowing there would be ton of dust. We tried to cover everything with garbage bags but it was a mess. He had planned for any coverings or tarps, so we covered everything we could with garbage bags. So it goes. He completed the job in the afternoon and noted not to move the fridge back for 48 hours. After cleaning the area and waiting the allotted time we finally moved everything back. My Issue: Big Problem. My issue for the down vote is he cracked a tile on the edge and grouted it and did not say anything or remove and replace they tile while he was on the job. The tip of the tile cracked was impossible to see with all the dust so we did not notice until we cleaned up. (txt message thread saved) I sent him a text telling showing him the before tile and after tile images and told him to please come and replace a tile that was not cracked before. We texted and agreed on a time and date. He did not show up. He has not texted me. I messaged him on this site. Nothing. So now I must bring in another tile guy to replace one tile at a premium. Not good business. Sabino **make it right**, text me, and fix the tile and I will update my rating.

He is very precise in his work. Very open to my ideas and followed through. Very pleasant experience.

I put out the ad on a Saturday. He was there 9 am on Monday. Job was finished by 2. Excellent work.
