I was given a quote for yard cleanup and sprinkler installation of $760. Since Lorenzo did not provide a written estimate, I wrote the quoted price down on the business card he gave me. Lorenzo and his crew showed up as agreed to do the job. They were done in a few hours. I added on a few items that Lorenzo also performed. When Lorenzo informed me of the final charges I was shocked at how much higher it was than what I thought it should be. I paid the bill. The next morning I texted Lorenzo that I thought I had been overcharged $200. He responded that he charged me the quote of $960 plus an additional $200 for the add on items. I sent him a picture of his card showing the original quote was $760 not $960. Instead of saying...."oops, let me refund the difference" he stated..."I gave you a rough estimate about the job. Not exactly what I expected charge you." He then attempted to justify why he now needed to charge me an additional $200 by saying I owed him for dump fees and other charges that should have been included in the original estimate. These were not legitimate charges until he found out he overcharged me. Lorenzos crew did not remove all the leaves and debris that he was contracted to do. They also removed plants that I had recently planted that should not have been removed. They were clearly marked to keep, yet they were removed anyway.
