$200 to flip a switch? On site for 15 minutes to diagnose and fix problem = $800/hr!

"I am sorry you were not able to resolve your issue with your tripped breaker on your own without calling in a professional. As the professionals you called, we do need to charge, as you said in your email, a "reasonable" amount to utilize our knowledge, experience, and skills to solve even the smallest problems. Before we began any work, we were clear about the cost for us to come out and troubleshoot your home. Despite that, we discounted the original price because it did end up being a fix that our experienced, licensed electrician could find easily. $200 for a 30min service call does not come out to $800 per hour. As someone who has "been around the block a few times", you should know that you are not just paying for the time spent on the job site; you are paying for transportation time, tools, materials, and office support, not to mention the years of training and education that enable our electricians to do what they do. As to your email asking us to come out and complete a larger project for you, with the qualifier: "Do a good job at a reasonable price and I'll delete my Yelp review." I feel we may disagree on what a "reasonable price" is. We at Salzano Electric consider it "reasonable" to at least cover the cost of keeping our employees paid, insured, and supply. Writing a negative review to try to force someone to discount future services is unethical and underhanded. This does not sit right with my personal values, nor with those of my company and we will not be working with you in the future. I had two great electricians on sight within 24 hours after setting up a request. The electricians that came out answered my many questions and they were very friendly as well as professional. They were thorough in checking all possible issues and worked efficiently. They were done in an hour. They cleaned up after the job was done, and explained exactly what the problem was and how they fixed that problem. The customer service rep was really good too, did plenty of follow-up, and also answered my many questions. The price quoted is what I paid in the end. But they also explained that there was potential for a higher cost if the trouble shooting resulted in a more complicated fix. I was a bit concerned about the cost, but then well, everything is going up. Ultimately, I wanted the issues taken care of so I could sleep better at night and not become a news story. When I compared prices, the charges were comparable, so any concerns just got set down. I have peace of mind now, that you really cannot set a price on that. I will definitely request estimates from them again.

Salzano’s was great! They provided a very competitive estimate and came in right on budget. The electricians were great. There was a lot of work to be done to get the wires from the electrical box to the garage for an EV Charger. They worked efficiently with three lads and were done and out of the house by early afternoon. They did a great job explaining what they were doing and cleaning up afterwards. Haven’t used the charging plug yet as the car hasn’t been picked up but I’m certain that if there were any problems Salzano would stand behind their work and take car of the issue. I do not anticipate any problems however.

The repairman was on time, came in and explained what he was going to do, after I told him what I had done, to fix the problem. He worked quickly and proficiently, explaining as he went along. He replaced the old hard wired box with a new plug in outlet, now required by code. We turned everything on, and it all work perfectly. I could not have asked for anything better! This company provides outstanding service. Mike installed the electrical wiring for the installation of a therapeutic hot tub for our family. He arrived early and ensured our family's safety by recommending and installing the correct electrical equipment. I had paid for another electrician to perform this work. However, the previous electrician did not install the correct equipment and did not complete the work. In addition, the previous electrician would not return my phone calls. Our Autistic child will benefit from this outdoor pool. It is rare to find someone who cares about others to ensure their safety.

Jerry is the best electrician I have ever watched work. He is personable, neat, and timely. He made excellent suggestions about upgrades and fixtures. I hired Jerry this morning thinking he was coming the next day. He finished one of his jobs early and notified me if I was available that same afternoon to come by. He was on time, very friendly, very professional, and made the repairs quickly. He has no intention of taking you to the cleaners with add-ons and up-sells. He is very informative about improvements and ways to save money on easy fixes. I would definitely call on him again when it comes to electrical issues. I highly recommend him.

Sublime Electrical Services has been by far one of the best company's I've ever dealt with and definitely a top notch professional in their industry. The owner, Jerry Salzano, personally came out to give the consultation and estimate for my Whole House Fan. Instead of trying to sell me on the most expensive product out there he explained what would be the best fan for the size and type of home I own. Jerry installed a whole house fan in my house. He was very knowledgeable, very professional, and completed the job in a very timely fashion. He gave me a very good price and completed the job within a couple of days of giving me an estimate. He did a great job with the installation and was very courteous and tidy in my home. I would recommend him to others!

Jerry Salzano contacted me just hours after I selected Sublime Electrical Services as one of my choices to install an attic fan on ServiceMagic.com. Well, the early bird gets the worm. He came out to my home to evaluate the situation at my earliest convenience which happened to be three days later. I had a problem with ventilation in my house especially in hot weather. He had the perfect solution - environmentally friendly, energy saving and effective. The next day he installed a Quiet Cool whole house fan in my attic while I was at work. It's only been two days, but it seems he has solved my problem. I am now able to cool my house at night, especially my upstairs bedroom which was my main complaint. He provided exceptional service and expertise, all for a reasonable fee. I plan to contact him for my future electrical service needs and would recommend his services to anyone.
