Took to long to do the project. Did a sloppy job. Damaged her property my stove , microwave and her counter top. He is not professional. Also left a miss. I would not hire him.

Very personable, strictly focused on the task needing repair, tries to accommodate in every way without being solicitous. Will hire again.

Sam was on time. Efficient and did a quality job.

Sam came to our home and arrived on time. He came with a variety of tools, all of which seemed to be perfect for the tasks at hand. He was friendly, courteous, and competent during his time with us. We told Sam that we have more to do and will be requesting his return in a few days. I recommend Sam with absolutely no reservations. It turned out that he and I are both US Navy vets from the Viet Nam era.

The handyman DID NOT complete the job. Has not called back. Took our money. Left a mess. Used wrong material. Bad, bad job. I do not know understand, after I read his reviews, I thought he would do a great job. He also left a big, big mess. Will not recommend this site to anyone.

Sam responded quickly however the service was not headache free (as I anticipated). I hired him to unhook my old stacked washer dryer, disconnect h20 hoses/dryer vent, and install my new in box combo washer dryer. Regarding the removal of the old machine, the doorway where I initially wanted the machine to go was too narrow. I did recommend if the initial side room wasn't possible it could be placed in the entry next to the kitchen. It took over an hour for it to become apparent to him, that he could not fit it through the first doorway. He tried disassembling, after listening to him grumble for over an hour attempted to help lift the w/d with him though the doorway. While attempting to help I asked if he had measured the doorway (he had not), so I did. The w/d was able to fit through the other doorway I had given as an option. Also he did not have a dolly to help remove the machine instead I help push it to the correct area. He then began the install of the combo w/d with instructions in hand. He completed the job (or so I thought), left, and I stated a load of laundry. About 30 mins into the load there was an awful banging and crashing. The machine was literally hopping all over the floor and even took out a chunk of the wall, it was bouncing so aggressively. Of course I stopped it and called Sam immediately. I asked if he leveled it and he stated he did (though my level showed it was off) and that he was eating lunch and would be over in an hour. During this time I took out the instructions and looked at the back of the unit. HE DIDN'T TAKE OFF THE SHIPPING RODS THAT HAD BIG RED STICKERS STATING "REMOVE", not to mention this was clearly specified in 2 set of instructions!!!!!! I then removed the rods "tah-dah" the machine works!!!! Once I fixed the issue he had arrived. I showed where HE MESSED UP. Of course there was an apology, and he stated "I did not see the stickers". Or read the 2 sets of instructions, I feel. Also I do not feel a "master carpenter of 40 years" should have made such mistakes. I hired him to help make my day easier not more of a headache after working 5 straight night shifts and being up over 20 hours after this whole debacle. He was not prepared and certainly was not worth $125, which I stated to him. I hope that this review is taken seriously and HomeAdvisor thinks seriously about keeping him as a referral.

Does great work, he is very polite, and appealing to work with. I refer him to anyone needing handyman work or small projects!
