Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
The handyman hired did not complete the agreed upon work. He was suppose to repair front door molding and repaint along with completely sanding and smoothing ceiling drywall and repainting neither occurred. The contractor did'nt clean up after himself also when the job was complete.

Doors (Exterior) - Install or Replace
The door to be installed was an exact replica of the previous door, but it did not have any pre-exsisting cutouts for the hinges, door handle or deadbolt lock. The door was mounted in approximately 1 hour by two technicians that were very curtious and friendly. I was given specific instructions on how to best protect my door from the elements to ensure a long life. I would have given this company a five star rating, but I would like to see how their installation last over the next few years. For now, I would recommend their services as they were very professional.

I had to fire them. They could not be on time. Today he said he be here at 830am today. About 9am he called said he was running late from another job. 12 and he was not here. I call him and told him to send me my 200 dollar deposit. I do not need him. I will get someone else. He has been late every time. I told his wife to send my despite back by next week.

"What this customer had to say is completely right. My previous jobs took longer than expected. My communication was not right on with this customer which lead to a unsatisfactory out come. We refunded his deposit and we accept his Criticism in a respective way. Our company strives to be the best, and in doing so, we may have a hick-up in our Efforts. We've been in business for the last 22 years not because we're perfect, but in our efforts to give our customers our best, we learn from our mistake when we don't. I had to remind them to come. I had to provide the ladder and the coverings for the project. I was told up front that the cost was for one hour whether they finished early or not. (I had to remind them of the agreed upon cost). They finished quickly and I thought to maybe have them do something else to use my hour, but sadly they were limited in what they could do. Still the project was done well and efficiently and courteously.

Painting or Staining - Small Projects
This project started on Dec 13, 2012, After 14 days I told him to leave. I'm out of 3000.00 and the work is unfinished. He removed items from my home, when aked about it he pulled it from his truck. Contract stated he had a crew and would take 3-4 days. There was no crew, just him, wife and who ever he could find to help him. He was not professional, or on time and had not schedule or clue to what he wwas doing. Awful.....

Project: demolish old port rebuild enclosed porch. Project started on schedule, as the project progressed it became evident it was a learning experience for them and additional work was required. We'd send images of issues and problems (i,e., leaking roof, sloppy painting, water damage from roof leaks, front door that was improperly installed and damaged because of improper installation and improperly fitted window screens) they'd take longer to respond to requests, and when they would, they'd say they'd come the next day and would not show up. Project should have been completed by end of April. As of 10/7/12, work remains incomplete.

"Great Customers - This situation was unfortunate.Customer fails to mention change orders for additional work, that was completed, which in turn pushed their original completion date back,in addition to special order items that took time to arrive, which is also not in the company's control. Also it was the customer's decision to not allow the company to complete the work or address 3 small concerns that were brought up by the inspector. To accommodate the customer, funds were left with the customer for any inconvenience as well as offered to complete any open issues free of charge which the customer declined on the work, but kept the funds."

Drywall - Repair
This was my first contracting experience. S&W Contracting provided good service and very fair pricing. The workers were very courteous. My advice to any homeowner is to have an extreme amount of patience because things are do not always go as planned, be flexible with the materials you choose, and learn to expect the unexpected. In the end the puzzle does come together.

The workmanship was pretty good but job took a bit longer than expected and there were a few problems along the way. Overall, though, I'm happy with the results. The owner and contractor are extremely nice people.

WHERE DO i START . fIRST OF ALL this company worked with me in paying my deducible installment payments. Then the found me a good sumppump and came in the night time to install it for me. They also help me found and install a new waterhearter that went out while work was being done. The cure was very nice and the suppervisor was there with them on many occastions. He himself would also come by to do work it was he the boss that installed my pump. The company did very good work . . The company continued to work although the insurance last payment had not yet come in. They are very trusing of their clients and clients trusing of them.

Everyone I talked to at S+W was friendly. They did an excellent job installing my fence and gate, and when I reported the gate was too high, they worked until after dark, not charging me for the time they spent to fix their mistake. I was, however, frustrated w/2 aspects of their service: when they didn't show up, they'd insist they'd come the next day, and then did not, and eventually just stopped telling me anything at all until 11 days later. Most frustratingly, they offered a $175 estimate (said they'd send me a written one & did not do so) then ended up charging me almost $100 more without letting me know until they presented the bill.

We were very satisfied by the work conducted by S&W. We had an emergency repair requirement and S&W contacted us within 1 hr of placing the request on service magic and they were also able to accommodate us on a Sunday. They even left the work area clean and the workmanship was excellent.
