Reviews
Write a ReviewThey came in and fixed my sink in just 10 minutes and were very friendly. We felt that the price was fair and they gave us advice on how to avoid the problem in the future.
Highly professional, friendly and polite service. I would highly recommend him.
UPDATE-After my initial review, I was contacted by a manager at Sarkinen. He was very apologetic about the experience we had and refunded our money from the second visit. He assured me that is not how they typically operate or do business. He was sincere in wanting to seek a resolution. While the experience was far from ideal, I appreciate the way they followed up on the matter after the fact and made it right. INITIAL POST-If you are considering using Sarkinen for your plumbing needs, please stop now and do not waste your resources with them. This is a dishonest company. Sarkinen came to our home two weeks ago and addressed a running toilet for us. They told us we needed to replace a fill valve to stop the running and it would cost $287. We agreed to the work and they completed the job. Flash forward two weeks, the toilet continues to run. We called them to let them know we were still having issues with the toilet running and they sent someone back out. We assumed this work would be covered under the 30-day warranty but if it was not, we were told the technician would let us know at the time of the visit prior to completing any work. AFTER the work was completed, I was informed that the flapper should have also been replaced at the time of initial work but it was not. Then I was told it would cost an additional $233 (after the coupon they were providing) for the work they just completed. Once again, this was AFTER the work had been done on the follow-up visit. Since the flapper was a different part than the fill tank, it was not covered under the initial 30-day warranty. We should have been told prior to the work being completed they would be charging us for an additional Quick Fix. At this point, the plumber had me sign the authorization to complete the work. I was very clear that I should have had the chance to agree and sign the document PRIOR to the work being completed. We would not have had them complete work that cost additional money ($520 to stop a running toilet). He apologized but stated there was nothing he could do at this point. I am very frustrated and feel completely taken advantage of. I understand how important plumbing is and the fact that it can be very expensive due to expertise required but to be mislead by a deceitful company is discouraging. We contacted two other plumbing companies in the Vancouver area to ask if this was standard cost and procedure, they both said no and they would have handled the situation much differently. Please seek elsewhere for your plumbing needs and save yourself the disappointment.
I called first thing in the morning to repair the water main break. By last afternoon still no callback, so I called and I was told sometime the next day or make it an emergency charge call that night. I wasted seven hours where I could have called another service.
Our water heater started leaking and I called Sarkinen in the afternoon and they had someone out that evening and got us up and running that night. They were helpful, professional, and kind. I will definitely use them again.
Extremely fast and excellent service.
Very professional
Very expensive just quick fix tighten and adjust he Quote me $564.
Being a first-time homeowner, when my sewer line sprung a leak, these guys tried to take me for a ride! after snaking my shower drain (Problem not solved) they came back a second day to repair the leak (did not flush the line, did not scope the line, did not do anything outside of destroying more of the line) the line is concrete and they managed to break more of the line, then immediately told us we needed a whole new sewer line. The bid was over $8,000. They had no bases for this prognosis. To add insult to injury they charged me over $600 for the repair that did not solve the problem and then after demanding an invoice that was itemized, they charged me for things they did not even do. My realtor sent another plumber out who did his homework, flushed the line and got it working, then scoped it and told us the line was fine. He is handling the repair for us and saving us over $8,000. I am so pissed at this company for the shady business practices and downright sneaky B.S. even after trying to talk to them about all this they just said I am sorry you feel that way, there has been no attempt on their part to make it right. I am contacting the Attorney General next, the Better Business Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce. Finally, I will discuss the matter with an Attorney. This has become about principle for me, I trusted these people when I first called with a bad situation and they only cared to try to capitalize on it and my lack of knowledge about plumbing. Trust that I am Educated Now! DO NOT TRUST these people and DO NOT do business with them unless you have deep pockets and do not mind throwing a chunk of change away.
They charged $235 to change out a kitchen faucet that I supplied. It seemed really high for a half hour job. I called and complained the next day, so they credited me $50 back so that helped. The work quality was excellent. It was a small job so $235 seemed excessive. I am happy they worked with me and gave me the $50 credit.
