Jon M employee did a roll over torch the flatter parts of my roof in Jan. of 2019. About 1 year later I wake up by dripping water to my bedroom window sill. Since I have a 5-year warranty I try to get a hold of him by phone and email. No response for 5 days. In the meantime I asked 2 roofers to give me a bid repairing it. Both said that the roof was not done correctly, mainly that sheeting was missing. So Jon M finally came and took a look claiming it is the window and the tile shingles pointing a little up of my other roof, refusing his responsibility. I would never recommend him to no one.
Response from SaveRoofs
"Issues with your siding and window seal and gutters and roof transition and lack of existing metal, all of these things have nothing to do with a lay over. When putting a new roof over existing how can we determine what?s going one originally? The fact that you didn't respect my professional opinion on the truth of the matter is disconcerting and makes your accusations invalid. Good luck on your roof and I offered to remedy this situation by correcting issues that should of been dealt with before going for the quick cheap fix which is what you was going after when hiring SaveRoofs and not wanting to do it right the first time. Your roof didn't?"

Firstly he showed up to provide a quote without confirming an appointment and began to take aerial photos without discussing it with us first. He did provide an estimate in a timely manner, completion of work took multiple call backs. There was a face to face meeting where we presented him with 30 day notice that we would file a complaint with the contractors board.
Response from SaveRoofs
"I should be more aware of the fact that I can't please everyone and need to excise my right to not work for everyone. Some people just don?t appreciate being the best price in town and doing what no one else would do which is save your roof. The issue was not done right the first time when the roof was built and trying to fix others mistakes is always challenging. The fact that I tried so hard to make things right didn't get noticed and my biggest regret is not seeing the type of people I was dealing with ahead of time."

This is a rental home, so I had multiple trips to keep an eye on this job. The trust level had been broken so it was a stressful endeavor. At the end of the day, I give two stars since the job was finished and the price was good. The money I saved was nice, but I would exchange the savings in a flash if I did not have to worry about getting what I paid for. The timeline took much longer than anticipated and I am sure my tenants were not happy. Lesson to anyone replacing a roof, pay attention to the details as shingles are only one component and get everything in writing. Monday, Day 1- Jon Quoted Malarkey Legacy Shingles and the morning they were supposed to start called and said they cannot do it for the price we agreed to. He asked for more money to install a lower grade vista shingle from Malarkey. He agreed to not charge me more for a lesser product after I asked for my 50% down payment back. Tuesday, Day 2- I went by the property to see if they showed up to start the project. Only 1 employee was assigned to the entire reroofing job. I noticed the roof was being torn off and a new underlayment was being placed. The underlayment was not the product we agreed to use on the quote. I had to tell them to tear it off and replace with the Malarkey product I asked for. An hour later, Jon called me to explain that he was still using a synthetic underlayment even though it was not the one we agreed to. He also said he did not believe we agreed to use a specific underlayment. He asked me to send him a screenshot of the quote to show that it was specific. I did so and he replaced the underlayment. At that time, I also sent him a screenshot of the wrong product that was being used. It was being put on top of the old underlayment, so he was not truly tearing off all the old product, just the shingles. He got this straightened out. Wednesday, Day 3- The Vista roofing was delivered to the home. I had a neighbor of the home call me so I could inspect the product that was being delivered. I took a copy of the packing slip for my records. The delivery did not include the Malarkey Smart Starter shingles or the Malarkey Hip and ridge. Also, the flashing that was delivered was 16 gauge and Jon put on his quote and verbally sold me 26 gauge. He did not come through correcting the flashing. I emailed Jon to confirm that he was going to use the Malarkey products he agreed to. A this point everything was coming into question. Thursday, Day 4- He delivered the missing Malarkey Smart Start shingles and Malarkey Hip Ridge. Continues to apologize for the countless errors. Also tells me he was incorrect about the gauge of flashing. Friday, Day 5- The 1 guy continues to show up each day. Silence is good! Saturday, Day 6- Did not work Weekends Sunday, Day 7- Did not work weekends Monday, Day 8- Same guy continues to show up and work. Tuesday, Day 9- I email Jon to ask when the roof is going to be complete. I ask when he will give his final stamp of approval since he had one of his employees complete the entire job. I also tell him I would like to meet him when it is done to see the final product. Jon tells me the roof is going to be complete tomorrow. Wednesday, Day 10- The roof is complete. Jon never called/emailed/texted to tell me when he was going to do his final walk or check off. At this point, I do not know if he did.

"Roof work was completed as scheduled. I photographed finial project and offered pictures upon invoicing. All materials agreed was used. Job was not too big for my main technician, which I have been working with for over ten years. I had good communication throughout the project and apologized for any misunderstandings. Our company always takes pride in our craftsmanship along with customer service."

As he was repairing around the pipes on the roof he spotted the flashing around the chimney, called in a repair service. I have to have the chimney completely redone and the flashing was also being replace. Thanks to SaveRoofs I wouldn't have known this and in Ore. we get a lot of rain. I highly recommend this company.

Good value for the cost. Pros: Included a minor gutter repair for free, the roof looks incredible, very low cost compared to other quotes, nice people, did power wash patio after, good quality (soft-wash) Cons: Communication could be better, they did not remove debris from property (I had to clean up after), showed up late (but did come back the next day to ensure job was complete)

This company is experiencing some major issues. Roofing crew walked off job, office worked walked out duringvdau and no one knew, poor communications between everyone, my job dud not get done as scheduled, and ultimately I canceled contract and requested a refund. I wish them well, but they need a new business plan and oversite,

The guys that I dealt with personally were great. Efficient and professional. There seemed to be some confusion with the office on scheduling. Overall my roof was repaired quickly at a reasonable price. I raised my review due to a call back. After a big storm the roof started very small drips. I emailed Saveroof and they called me about 20 minutes later. They scheduled a technician for my next day off. I wanted to be home. He repaired some shingles that he believed may be letting water seep under. These were not the site previously repaired but there was no charge. The drips have stopped. I am planning on replacing my roof in the summer of 2019. I will call these guys.
