Provider failed to follow up once deposit was received. I left my information on home advisors to get an estimate for a front door I had to replace, I was contacted by a sales representative named Terry...He came to my home and gave an estimate, the price was step, however, I agreed as long as the work was completed up to standard a city code....he came back the following week for my deposit and promised someone will call me to schedule an appointment ........No one ever called to schedule an appointment. I attempted to resolve this matter myself and all I have gotten is the run around from the check is in the mail, to accounting is closed to not answering my calls. Home Advisors Complaint Support Team has tried to resolve this matter on my behalf ,however, they also have been give the run around. Therefore , Home Advisors has placed a block on Sawgrass Window and Doors account from participating in their service until my issue is resolved.. Upon further investigation the sales rep is in fact the owner Terrance Antonio Simpson and is also the former owner of Triple T's windows and doors which had countless of cases in small claims court and a number of complaints that they took clients deposits and never came back or called to do the work..More than likely he changed his company name to Sawgrass Windows and Doors, so he can continue to scam people out of their money .A friend who is a computer genius has traced back the IP address for a fair number of these reviews to the same server....Terrance Simpson AKA " Terry" has no intentions of doing work on your home his only goal is to take your money and run.........

"To all who read this review Sawgrass Windows and Doors has been in business since 02/23/2005 that is 16 years of serving the South Florida communities with an A+ on the BBB, 4.5 Star Rating on Home Advisor and A 4 Star Rating on Google and we are thankful for the opportunity to serve over 8,000 residential and commercial customers installing windows and doors and at times we have repaired minor problems for free and giving back to the community. 16 YEARS in business I think we are doing something right! Ms. Sandra Daley we received your deposit and signed the agreement on Saturday 4/10/21 to enlarge the front door opening and install the doors you supplied. I informed you at that time of our agreement that your project coordinator will reach out to you the following week which was the week of 4/12/21. You called our office yelling and swearing in the beginning of the week that no one has called you. We have been around for a long time and know when someone is not a good fit for our company so at that time I instructed the office to refund your deposit back to you immediately and you stated on the phone I do not want no F****** check and we explained to you at that time Ms. Daley that our accounting department must have an accurate record of what goes out of our store but you refused to accept the refund by way of check. We offered you a full refund on 04/15/2021 in which was not even a 1 week span of time from the date of agreement."

The project still not complete. They came did the measurements took half the money promised someone will call in 24 hours and the install will happen in 5 - 7 working days. It has been 3+ weeks and still no news. The first call also came a week later instead of 24 hours. Radio silence for the last 2 weeks.

The salesperson did not specify out my windows correctly which resulted in the company sending inexperienced guys for install on the first visit. This work had to be completed on a deadline due to the sale of my home. Work had to also be approved by my city inspector due to permit. The next install guy would call me with updates but was not able to complete work correctly after two more attempts. After experiencing multiple delays, I requested to speak with someone else. Shameka responded with, I am the manager. I asked to speak with the owner via phone and in writing 4 times and was told, she is not in the office. Because of the closing deadline, the only option available to me to complete my final 2 payments was with a credit card. Each time, Sawgrass charged me a convenience fee. Twice I paid for the convenience of using a credit card when, if the work had been completed the first visit, I could have paid via personal check. When the Buyer did the final walkthrough before closing, they found that one new window did not have an operable lock. Fortunately, the Buyer was reasonable and did not delay closing. When my closing agent sent the contractors release for Sawgrass to signoff confirming full payment had been received, Shameka told him and me that I had to put in writing that I would not in any way reverse the payment and if I did, the release would be null and void. My closing agent (in the business for more than 20 years) and I had never seen this from a contractor. After all, attempts to speak to the owners or someone to share my concerns, no one has contacted me. So, if you have no deadlines to meet, choose Sawgrass. If you are not concerned about whether or not your order and specs are written up correctly, choose Sawgrass. If you do not mind inexperienced install guys being assigned to your project, choose Sawgrass. If you do not mind being charged a convenience fee that would not have been necessary had the work been completed correctly the first time, choose Sawgrass. If you are OK with your multiple requests to talk with the owner being ignored, choose Sawgrass, and then check to see if the Better Business Bureau has Sawgrass on their accreditation list.

It's important for any customer to carefully supervise contractors - if I was not watching, the door would have been installed with wrong swing. That said, the workers were good, worked carefully and cleaned up, and arrived when they said they would. I have to call out Shamika in the office - she really followed up and responded to any questions I had, and made sure the city inspector correctly completed the approval. Sawgrass was willing to work with my schedule, and I thank them for that.

We wanted to replace our door with an impact rated door. Terry who assisted us with selection and pricing was great. Alberto whom installed the door, was average. Overall, I am disappointed with the company. The installer damaged my wall surrounding the frame. I needed to bring it to Terry's attention for him to repair the wall. I asked if the wall would be painted, I was told they don't paint. I get it. Its a door and window company. However if damage occurs because of their work, they should repair it properly, including painting. Not to mention they installed the door as a left hand swing, when a right hand swing was requested. I had to wait an additional month for the right hand swing to be installed. I was never offered a discount. I had to ask for it. Then I guess it was forgotten. I didn't bother to ask, I just wanted my door completed. The least they could have done was offer something off for the inconvenience or just paint the wall that was damaged. In closing, My experience was not great nor was it terrible. I do believe they could do better.

The drywall was broken while removing your old door and trim, that does occasionally occurs when construction is taking place on older homes and items. The drywall was fixed once installation was completed. WE are not able to address the painting because we do not paint nor have someone available to address it as per your contract. The correct door was ordered but the manufacturer sent the incorrect one, you were made aware that it was take a month to exchange the door and was approved by you. We apologize for any inconvenience that made have been caused. Thank you for your feedback."

We had a very good experience working with SW & D to fortify our front entrance with a hurricane door (and to also have installed a standard door in the back : since that point of egress already featured hurricane shutters) Our door order was placed and after the door models ordered became available the installation process took just a few days. Inspections were then held a few days after that and after a few finishing touches, we passed the Town requirements and are now enjoying our new entryways. Note that it does take some time (45 + days) for out of stock doors so you can plan your budget based on that. (Special thanks to our installer, Alberto, who has an incredible work ethic !)

The installer was not quite sure how to anchor the hurricane rated door. the door failed 2 Weston City inspections because it was not anchored properly. Finally after the 3rd visit they got it right. Door was damaged during installation however they brought me a new panel and replaced the damaged section.
