Schroeder Floor Covering

Steve and his crew were nice guys, but they did pretty shoddy work. I had a chipped plank installed, planks not clicked in place, vinyl that was cut jagged and so far away from the wall, that I had to buy new vinyl and have my foyer redone by another installer when I decided to take out the quarter round. Steve offered to buy new vinyl and fix everything, but after waiting almost a week, he did not show up when he said he would. I had to text him to find out he could not make it until the next day. I said no, since I did not want to waste any more time, and honestly did not trust him. The other guy I hired told me it was the worse install he had ever seen. I would not go that far, but it was not good. On the other hand, some of the flooring in my kitchen and dining room looks good, but having to spend over $500 to fix the mistakes that were made overshadowed that. Anyway, Steve and his crew are great if you have a rental where quality is not a big deal. They will get the job done at a good price.

I would not recommend this man to anyone, takes him 2-3 times longer then he said it is going to, horrible quality work, and I had to pay someone else to come out to redo everything, that costed me an additional $700 and he would not resolve with me.

We hired Steve to install tile in $25000 bathroom which is very detailed and elegant. We hired him but yet he had to 2 inmates come and install the floor tile, he even prewarned me about there appearance Steve came later that day and ripped it all up about $2000 worth of tile saying they did a horrible job. Steve said he would be back to fix but instead sent a young girl to lay it yet again it was so bad she apologized after laying it and said she had only been apprenticing for Steve for 6 months so now our floor was played twice at our tile expense of course at this point we parted ways we could not take anymore... Steve called me upon letting him go to tell me all is good we can part friends... I did not know this man from the man in the moon so he walked away left all the mess for us so as it is now I have repeatedly called him with no answers, of course, we had given him $2500 of a $4500 bid so far on labor $1000 for radiant floor heat and $3000 for the tile so as of right now he owes us $6500 the next 4 tile company s refused to work with his shotty work, to say the least, and had to rip it all up, in the end, do not hire this contractor unless you just want carpet ..good luck

I wouldnt even leave a star for this contractor/unprofessional/sloppiest person i have ever hired! If i could show pictures of Mr Schroeders work you would get where I am coming from! Typically I don't go online to trash someones name but since Mr Schroeder has not responded to me after I sent him the pictures of unfinished grout lines in my kitchens backsplash, broken tile, major gaps and bulges in the tile and tile Mudd that he threw on the front of my brick house is why I am writing this review! I am also very disappointed In HomeAdvisor for allowing a so called professional to work for them! DO NOT HIGHER STEVE SCHROEDER TO DO YOUR TILE WORK! AND IF YOU DO I SURE HOPE HE DOESNT LEAVE YOU IN THE SAME DISASTER THAT HE LEFT OUR HOME IN! Steve is a nice guy, however, his workers are not professional, it took them nearly two weeks to put the wood floor in, the job should have taken about four days. They opened up four boxes of wood that was not use, so I have a pile of wood sitting in the garage that I can not return or use.

I hired this company to fix my floor. He was available to come out the next day to give a quote. The following day he was out and had my floor fixed. Floor looks great.

Steve, Bama, Chris all great guys. Steve the owner is kind and knows how to get the job done for a good price. Their work was top quality. We had Steve redo the bathroom with tile in the shower and floor. Ripped out and gutted the previous shower, floor, and laid all new. Steve and the crew did a fantastic job. Tile laid great, quality craftsmanship with the work, and done at a fair price. Went to menards and just picked out what I wanted. Steve and his crew then picked it all up and transported it to my house no charge. Saved me a ton of time and hassle since I don t have a pickup. Steve and his crew were very trustworthy. I gave them a key and just said have at it when I went to work everyday. No problems at all. Always picked up at the end of the day and left the house livable and not a mess. They were true pros. One last point I want to make is the craftsmanship and how good the tile was laid. Alabama is a great guy who does fantastic work! Chris and Bama were a great team to have at the house and I would recommend them to you reading this review. I will be using them for my next tiling job - enough said. Thank you all.

Arrived on time. Did a good job. Friendly and courteous. Price quoted was the price I paid. Went above and beyond moving a few things and sweeping concrete before gluing down outside carpet.

Called Steve about carpet tear-out and install luxury vinyl plank, he was very professional. He was out-of-town so he could not come himself, but sent his guys. Alabama and Chris came over to my house, we made a deal and they started right away. They did a great job, and we love our new floors and would use them again for all of our flooring needs. Thanks a lot, guys! A great job!

Did a real good job!

I hired Schroeder to lay tile on an uneven concrete basement floor. Not only did they lay the floor perfectly, they also had to first remove what I attempted to lay so that the floor could be laid correctly. They did a real good job. I would recommend them.

did not like the fact they did not look at the job before they it. they over estimated the amount of flooring needed and gave no information on the trim i should order. if the job had trim it would look better. would i use them again, maybe.

Job was replace old tile at 2 entry ways and replace tile floor in one bathroom. Work was done well.

They came right away and worked until the job was done. They laid a herringbone pattern. It is beautiful! I will definitely call them when I need my laminate floors laid or more tile work done!
