Stephen, the cleaner, came to my vacation place to clean, but did not clean AT ALL, and actually made the place dirtier. I only arrived to my place today, so I did not meet him (my landlord opened the door for him) or saw the job, and approved and paid for it via pictures he sent me. The pictures were blurry, but I trusted him and didn t question. He did wet my floors with a mop, probably to pretend he cleaned, and those are the only clear photos. After wetting the floors, he didn t wipe them and walked all over my place making it dirtier than before. Again, he did not clean at all, he came over with his equipment, took fake before and after pictures, took my money and left. This person is a con artist and could be dangerous. I am actually nervous that he knows my address. Does Angi run background checks on pros ? This is scary. I would like to get reimbursed ASAP.

"Before payment was received, photos were sent to the customer to verify the job had been completed to their standards. The customer responded to the photos saying the house looked great. After that response, the customer sent payment. I have documented texts with time stamps that detail this discussion. Customer then reaches back out 24 hours later saying her boyfriend had come to the house the previous day and said their was toothpaste in the sink and the floors were not mopped. When I referred the customer to the photos she approved including the clean sink with no toothpaste and the cleaned floor, she said it was a scam and that the photos were sent to trap her. I re iterated that photos were sent before payment to ensure cleaning was at the customer level. Customer approved photos and said everything looked good. Because of this, no refund was given. I am not sure what her boyfriend and her did to the home after the cleaning, but when I sent the cleaned photos of her home to her she said it looked great."
