In an age where we have a major computer in our pockets (cell phone), it is difficult to imagine some of the paperwork (there was LOTS of it), would be done on the computer in advance. Too much paperwork, much of which should have been completed by Seaport. That said, the move was perfect, the movers were very kind.

The moving crew was one and a half hours late. It took them 8 1/2 hours to load the truck. The crew member who was in charge of the inventory seemed to have a problem with entering items on the tablet. When my furniture arrived it was chaos. The driver argued with my neighbor about where truck was parked. The crew used my 6' ladder to unload truck, then took my ladder with them! I had broken dishes, an antique dresses with a hole punched in the top from something placed on top of it, the grandfather clock no longer works (paid extra for packing), two large pictures had broken glass. The person in the office was helpful, until I reported the damage, then it was basically, you are on your own to file a claim. I can not recommend this company.

Very personable and efficient. Aimee was never hard to contact whenever I had a question and since they were local the president of the company even came to my home to give me a most accurate estimate and ensure everything was taken care of with no surprises in cost. They did a good job with taking good care of my stuff too and very flexible with the moving date even over the Christmas holidays. Other companies were either hard to reach or would never get back to me but this company acted like they wanted my business and treated me like they truly valued me and the cost was the best estimate that I got on top of the great service! Would use them again if the need arose.

I have to hire a refgerator repairman because they did not put the doors back on right. Also brought my tv to the new residence, I found out the power cord was missing. It's a good thing that they left it at the old residence where we found it.

The "professionals" were college students from another country who spoke broken English and many times did not follow direction( I hope ) due to not understanding. The foreman said he was the professional - this was his 3rd summer to work for the co they were extremely slow and not prepared. I think they were good kids and tried hard but not what I expected from a professional moving company they also charged way more than the bid due to extras and low bid weight would not use again
