sub contracted to Anderson Heating for the installationt. I was told about 4 hours to install, took all day. They didn't clean up very well (dirt, cement, wood chips/saw dust, sheet metal shards and bits, screws laying on the floor, some sort of caulking/sealent globbed on my cloths dryer) and the didn't sweep cause they left their broom somewhere weeks before). I'm terribly disappointed with the whole process. Sears promised a perfect 10 install across the board, and I received average service. did not turn off gas when they replaced the gas valve, so I had gas leaking into the house next to the water heater. Damaged the humidifier.

I should not have succumbed to the pressure of accepting their offer when I was told it was only good the day it was given. Wish I would have had the time and ability to shop around more. Since the sale and installation it has been almost impossible to get service and when the air conditioner runs there is water leaking, but so far (and now its not AC weather any more) nothing was done to take care of the problem. The phone number for the rep who sold the furnace & ac is not operable (can we say "fly by night?")& we were not able to contact him. Also, the units are just huge! and we wonder if that was necessary. I think we got taken.

I visited the Sears store on Marion in St. Paul where I received excellent help from the salesperson. Comparing the quality and cost of hot water heaters I selected Sears for purchase and installation. Sears contracted with Tschida Bros Plumbing who did the installation the next day and I am satisfied with the service overall.
