All of the people who worked with us were outstanding. The job site was keep clean and neat, people were polite and well informed about the product and procedures. If they could not answer a question, they found out an aswer. They follow-up and communications with us was great throughout the project. All of the sub-contracters were also outstanding. This was a very good choice for the job.

Sears offered a quote, not an estimate, so they were the only pro that went through the process to verify what size boiler I needed. Their price was inclusive, included 7 years of service and they offered financing.

it took us a while to decide on who to use. sear gave the 1st price and had no problem with what we wanted done. we spoke to 4 other contractors. they either didn't want the job or were unsure of what we needed done. after talking to the other contractors we decided to give sear the job. they went above and above what we were expecting. we are very pleased with the work that was done. thank you for giving us their name.

Estimate of Heating Need mis-calculated (Didn't know to add equivolent baseboard for undercounter kitchen heater (18 inch heater with blower which was installed as equivoent to 12 ft of removed baseboard... contractor counted as 18 inches of baseboard). Contractor stated that nobody makes an oil fired furnace which would meet tax credit requirements (which is 90 %). Bederus makes one. Misquoted tax credit requirements as 95%... just wrong. Furnace recommended was significanltly quite a bit more expenseive than competition (which I shared w/ contractor before he quoted). I will assume the "best" ... inexperienced, not crooked.

Staff was professional and friendly. Worked with me financially. The installation was done in a timely manner. They were neat and left the area clean. I was happy with the explanation of the unit's workings. They followed up to make sure the city inspection happened because the city did not respond to my calling. Overall I was very pleased.

They showed up on time. Did the job (instillation of a replacement) in a prompt and efficient manner.Took away the old (60 year old) furnace. and cleaned up after themselves. All in all I'd rate them 11 out of 10 and recommend them to a friend.

The subcontractor they hired was unprofessional and did not complete things to our liking. Lots of clean up on our own, paperwork not in one place, unclear on warranty information. Overall experience was not great -- lots of follow up and little satisfaction

Time lags and poor communication on Sears part. Mis-information, lack of interest on the part of Sears Service once they made the sale. The subcontractor who did the actual work, Beacon, was terrific. I would recommend them at once.

Sears complleted the project today. Starting from the initial contact, Sears always has a fast response. Salesa representative, Rob Crickmore and Project Coordinator, Eva Catone are constantly monitoring on our final installation date. Finally CNG connected the gas line to he house on Nov. 26, 2008. Eva finalized the boiler installation date on Dec. 2, 2008. Richard, the contractor, worked very hard for two and half days. He tested the unit thoroughly and resolved some technical problems. I am very happy on Sears' customer services. I will recommend Sears to anyone on this kind of project. Chaochi Chu

The subcontract (Sears contracts the installations out) was extremely professional and courteous. The removed my old boiler and water heater and installed the new unit on the same day. I'd read other reviews that said the Sears quote was on the high side, but for us, their quote was the lowest. We replaced a 60-year old oil furnace and a 20-year old water heater.

The sales representative was extremely knowledgeable about what would work for our home. He answered all our questions on the spot, and didn't try to sell us any unnecessary equipment. The installers were courteous, and explained how everything worked when they finished. They kept a clean work space, and were done in a very timely manner.
