I had doctors appt the week they wanted install the HVAC system and they worked around these.

The salesperson was very prompt, and listened to my needs. This was the only company I contacted that did not reschedule two or three times! The installer arrived promptly for a walkthru and recommended a change from the original order, but was still able to install it on time. The installation was completed as estimated; everything was left very clean; and the installer explained to me how everything worked.

Although the installer was a day late in starting, the work was perfect and I am very pleased. We had a Carrier furnace and air conditioner installed and the furnace works wonderfully, and I expect the same from the air conditioner when the summer comes.

The sales person was very nice and helpful.

The installers were knowlegeable about the new unit & installation procedure. They correctly recommended replacing 30-yr old pipes when Sears sales rep had said it wasn't necessary. They did an admirable job of miniimizing damage to our basement ceiling as they replaced pipes and also replaced rusty fittings on water heater, which they had loosened. They worked past 7:00 p.m. in order to finish the job in one day and managed to stay polite and in good humor throughout the ordeal.

He was nothing but a salesman. He tried to sell me a whole new furnace an ac unit which was NOT needed. I had three other AC Reps from reputable companies come to offer their advice and all 3 stated I did NOT need a new unit. At the end of his visit he tried to forcefully get me to sign his offer by throwing in a 10% discount. This experience was not a good one for me. I do NOT like to be pressured into a decision that requires a significant amount of money and this rep made me feel this way. It was due to the reputaton of Sears that I agreed to the rep coming initially, but I am not sure I would do so again in the future.

Did not lisen to me when I told him that I did not want Elect. heat it was to expencive and at $10,000. you would think they would put in what I wanted. I am on a fixed income and can not put in a furnace that would cost more to run then what I allready have.

These installers for sears were great, they had to relocated the heat pump to meet code but they could have just let it sit and hope no one saw it. They arrived at around 9 and were there till 8 that evening due to reworking ductwork of the 35 year old unit they removed. The installation looks great This is the second time I have used Service magic and I will use them again....

Sears backed up what they stated in the contract during the installation process. We had some code infractions from a previous installation (may or may not have been to code at the time it was done). What was hidden behind the walls, nobody knew. The contractor saw the issues and notified Sears. Sears said in so many words or less, "do what needs to be done", all of which was done at no additional charge to us. Although we did pay more for the system than we might have through someone else, I don't believe that anyone else would have given us the service that we got from Sears. I will refer everyone I know to Sears. Thank you, Ben
