Sergio quoted us on repairing our stone walkway that was installed wrong by the original contractor. He used our existing materials, but redesigned the walkway so that it looked much nicer. He put down a proper concrete base too. As of now, it looks very good. Since this is a stone job, we will not see any possible problems for some time. While Sergio was here, we showed him where some of our ceramic tile in our kitchen needed to be replaced. He did that as well, which included pulling up the old tile, cutting new tile to fit. We are very happy with that job. When our budget permits, we plan to hire Sergio again for other stone projects. Also, our neighbors are planning some projects and are considering Sergio for those too.

Sergio and his crew did a stone border for our patio, which looks excellent. However, the actual patio, without the border, is horrible. He layed cement directly on our grass, he didn't dig it up to level it or put sand to level it and he didn't use any rebar. We asked him about these things and he said they weren't necessary, and us not knowing, we took his word for it. But we've since talked to other contractors and they have all said that these things are necessary to keep the structure in tack when the ground or house shifts. The patio is not level and the top "layer" did not turn out like it was supposed to. Needless to say, he did not get his final payment and now we're going to have to have someone come and fix it, which is going to cost us more money than we intended to spend. Plus, he said he would have the patio done in 2 - 3 days but he ended up being there 5 times over a 2 week period. On a good note, he does do good stone work, so if anyone is looking for that specifically he's worth considering.
