Project: Repair Natural Gas or Propane Furnace / Forced Air Heating System
The work was well performed and my issue was fixed. My only concern was he requested an increase in his verbal quote due to the location of the furnace. He then said that I should have told him where the furnace was located since it was in an inconvenient location. I told him that I have absolutely no idea where other furnaces are located so I would then have no idea whether the location of my furnace was unusual. In any event, I said that he had to follow through on his quote, and that in the future he should qualify his quotes to potential customers. The quoted amount is one option but that if the location is in a tough pace, then the quote would be increased. Since he didn't do that with me, he could not change the quote. My boyfriend is an electrician and he also told the owner that it is wrong to change a verbal quote. That sometimes you just have to eat the difference but then change the process moving forward. The good news is that the owner agreed and stuck with the quote. The smell of gas is gone and the heat is working. He did a nice job.

Repair man was well qualified, knowledgable, and personable.I am completely satisfied, with one exception. The cost was way out of line. $460.00 for approximately two hours work? $150 for service, is ok. $310.00 for a part that sells for approximately $104.00 is criminal. Would not recommend because of this.
Response by Service Right: Service Right charge a $175 appearance fee that cover the clients for an hour and $80 per additional hour plus part. All parts are marked up severally because we have to go to the supply store which is time, plus liability, workman comp and unemployment insurance. All these things have to be factored in the cost. Brake pads & rotor cost less than $200 dollars, but yet the mechanics shop charging $800 -900 for a brake job that takes two hours. Their charge is not only for the brake job but their over head as well. Each time we get a customer lead it cost us up $37 per lead. So every time a customer go on Homeadvisor and put in a request for service.

He's such a nice man and willing to show me what and why he is doing something. This is the 1st home I've ever owned, so it's great to able to learn some tips and tricks to troubleshoot prior to have to call in a pro. Money is tight right now, so it's great he's willing to do that.

Thank you for your service. Lycastain was very professional. Even though it was late and Lycastain was on his way home, he came and serviced our furnace. I have called so many companies that evening, but only Service Right (Lycastin) was willing to help, I definitely recommend him and Service Right.

Lycastian came to my house twice to figure out why two of my zones were not performing correctly. He came so quickly (next day) and was available around my schedule which was so refreshing after dealing with plumbers and electricians who give you one time during the weekdays three months after you call. He was so easy to work with. HVAC costs are very high but I work at a Vocational High School with HVAC professionals who said all of my chargers were correct. The difference was the fact that Lycastian came and was friendly and didn t mind my 1000 questions. The zones are working great! I highly recommend.
