Working with Service Today! is a nightmare. I have never had such a poor experience with HVAC company, to be honest, with any service provider. Due to the complementary inspection offered, I was convinced to replace my furnace because it had high static pressure (it was working fine) and that could lead to a failure. The service team couldn't figure out why the static pressure for the new furnace was HIGHER than the previous one. It took 8 visits. At the end, they did so many openings in the basement's ducts to reduce the pressure, that the unfinished basement is warm, and the other levels are colder than before, plus my new furnace spends 20% more gas than the 11 years old one I had before. I can't believe I fell for that high static pressure story. As a cherry on the cake, the installers messed up the wiring on my AC, that needed to be repaired in the summer. Now, Service Today! is giving me the run around to even respond to my request to refund me the money for the AC wiring repair. I've been calling for 4 weeks and never got the promised call back.

I needed a EZ Generator switch installed at the furnace to connect a solar generator, it required a floating neutral, not a common request, they made it happen plus a safety upgrade. Now I can use my Jackery 4k system to keep the heat on and additional appliances in a power outage. This is way more convenient than hauling wood or messing with gas plus a energy tax credit is an incentive.

This was a simple, non-urgent project. They called me on a Friday and came out on Monday. Their customer service was good, but I had to call their office to request an invoice and voltage meter readings. They didn't offer to text or email me those numbers. I had already bought a new switch ($25.00) myself, but they talked me into using their's instead,. They said it had a warranty. That was fine. They said that the job was going to cost me $277.00. When I asked how much of that was for the switch and how much for the labor, they could not tell me.

Was told the cost to fix switch would be $75. Electrician came out and said I needed to pay minimum of $400 for a diagnostics of my electrical system. Said 75 was trip charge. Cost for diagnostic was never mentioned at initial phone call. Felt bait and switched.
