Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
Joseph and Kristen are very personable. However they were late and unprepared making multiple trips for parts, which I chalked up to our home being older. The work that was done was done satisfactually, though not as originally requested. They were supposed to return at a later date to complete the work but when I called to confirm the follow-up time, I had to leave a voicemail. Kristen returned my call and explained they were out of town. If I had not called I guess they just would not have shown up. I have tried emailing and calling since then and have gotten no response. In fact Kristen's number is no longer in service. I foolishly wrote Joseph a check, believing they would finish.

Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
Let me preface this with I am a trusting & obviously somewhat naive soul...I think this crew is a bit inexperienced and tries to take on more than they can handle. I gave them a large list of items I needed done. they focused on the electrical, which was going to be an intense project. They were supposed to come on Friday, but had to cancel. That was ok. They were supposed to get here on Saturday at 8:30am, did not get here until about 9am, again that is ok. Joe did not come as he was "out on another job", but Kristen came w/ her "uncle". They did not bring the tools or materials they needed for the items we had discussed previously, so had to go to th HW store twice (an hour each time). After the first excursion to the HW store, Kristen told me it would be higher than quoted...OK, that was fine (stupid me, did not ask how much higher). They checked a lot of the items, but did not fix anything; in fact they ended up making it so my attic fan did not work. Removed Ceiling fans (took them with them, and did not reduce my charges) - took all the material I paid for and still nothing is fixed. They were here until 1:30pm (including the HW store trips), and charged for 6 hours... The next time they can come out is after 10/11... I now have wires hanging open in my house. They are off the beams so should be "safe". So now, I have to hire electricians because I fear fire hazard. (Should have done in the first place) They ended up charging me about $300 more than the original quote and, again, nothing was fixed. They requested cash (this is me being naive again) & I was supposed to get a receipt via email, but have not gotten it yet. I liked these folks and really wanted to give them a chance since I have ALOT of work that needs doing, but the more I thought about this situation, the more I felt I was taken advantage of. Hopefully I am a one time incident and they will learn from this. I know I have.

"Okay, I come back to the house and showed the updated quote when I realized how far off my partner had been. I did that to totally avoid this situation. He had only accounted for changing out some electrical switches and outlets and moving some ceiling fans not the major electrical issues that were found. I had no intention of taken advantage of anyone and would love to fix this whatever it takes. I'm very sorry that I wasn't set up to take PayPal the day we came out but that has been since corrected. Again I am very sorry we made you feel taken advantage of and hope that we can correct this mistake."
