"According to g to this PayPal document, money was not kept, and reimbursed was made back to the customer. Shady Oak Lawn and Land Landscape Management did not keep the customer's money, as alleged. Dear Shady Oak Lawn and Landscape Management, We've completed our review of this case and decided in favor of your buyer. The buyer stated the service was never completed. We refunded $1,038.24 USD to them. We have charged you a Dispute Fee of $15.00 USD since your account was categorized into the Standard Dispute Fee tier when this dispute was filed. "Thanks for the opportunity to reply to this review. While some of what Mr. Colon stated is correct, other comments are misguided. The project consisted of approximately 650 square feet, which, at the initiation, consisted of St. Augustine sod. In preparation for the paver project, the sod had to be "browned" and removed. This transformation process took approximately 10-12 days, at which time we returned, removed the debris and prepped the area. There was also an existing vegetable garden enclosure that we had to relocate, without charge. Mr. Colon initially agreed on a paver, but changed his mind after installation began. Two pallets were delivered when he changed his mind and the two pallets had to be returned by the business owner. So yes, time was delayed during this process. As for staff, I had 2 workers test positive for COVID during this last month and didn't want to put the customer at risk. Therefore, as a result, we were very challenged on staff and calls were not answered in a timely fashion, as desired. I am now faced with arranging the pick-up of the pavers that are at the customer's house, as he changed his mind, once again, and I would like to refund his deposit. However, the customer should also be cognizant of the fact that labor has already been expended for the sod removal, sprinklers being capped, both paver sand and paver base being delivered (receipts on file) and installed in the "sandpit" area. This should also be considered as part of the refund. In further consideration, the replacement company will not need to remove sod and prep the area, as it's already been completed."

"What an awesome project you presented us with! While it was quite a job, it was extremely rewarding to ultimately transition it to your complete satisfaction. And, quite sorry for the shoddy work that was performed by the previous company. Lastly, thanks for your positive feedback!"
