Shawn and his team were INCREDIBLE! Although the fence cost more than I had budgeted, Shawn offered the best value of anyone who bid on the project. I agreed on the contract on Friday, Shawn was at my house on Monday, and the project (200ft of teardown/replacement of redwood fence...a lot of vegitation) is complete at noon on Thursday. I have hesitated to send in my comments as I have been trying on my own to resolve some issues I have with the work that was performed, but I have not been able to get the contractor to respond to my calls. First, regarding the aggregate that was poured; it is almost completely grey in color. The exposed aggregate shows however there is almost no variation in the color of the rock. Second, I discovered a sprinkler line had been broken and when I reported this to the contractor I was told he was working another job and could not get over to repair it. Third, a landscape light had to be moved during the preparation stage and now it does not work. Fourth, the bender board used for forming was to be removed and wasn't. He stated the concrete needed to cure for 30 days before he could do this. Lastly, there was concrete backsplash on my home, my landscape lighting, and the yard that was not cleaned up after the pour. Unfortunately I paid the contractor with the understanding that he would return to finalize the work. Your advice/assistance in resolving my problems would be greatly appreciated.
