We found Tim through this site last year and hired him to do a kitchen remodel (re-facing and re-painting cabinets, replacing countertops and hardware, replacing a sink and faucet) and a small media nook (install cedar shelves, built-in cabinets with a slab of the countertop, lighting, and hardware). We live in Humble (Fall Creek). PROS - Great in providing thorough emails, communicating by text and phone calls, etc. He was the most professional contractor I had met, both personally and professionally, up to that point. It took a turn for the worse, though. More on that later. - Excellent craftsmanship and quality of work (you get what you pay for). He works mostly by himself as he is a self-proclaimed perfectionist. - Excellent customer service (but that came to a screeching halt at the end). - Met deadlines (for the most part.) CONS - Has yet to return our house key. When we hired Tim we had just closed on our house so we provided him with a key so that he could come into the house without us needing to be there. We obviously trusted him because Tim is just that kind of guy. He is very likable. However, he has yet to return our house key even after multiple attempts to contact him. This is the most unprofessional part of having dealt with Tim. - Did not return the leftover slab of quartz we paid for. When we hired Tim he helped us install a new slab of countertops in our kitchen with a third party. He oversaw that project. The slab was big enough that the leftover pieces were going to be used in a small bathroom remodel. However, when we asked him to give us those leftovers he kept making excuses and we have yet to receive the slabs. He fell off the face of the earth after that. Our mistake was making the final payment before he returned our leftover slabs and our house key. We feel that after we made that last payment he checked out and never responded or answered our calls. - Has not responded to multiple emails or texts. This is the most disappointing part of him. Throughout the entire process, Tim was excellent. He responded to emails and text messages and was very prompt in his work. Towards the end of the project, and after our final payment, he never got back to us. This is very disappointing because we wanted to use Tim again for future projects and wanted to recommend him to friends and family because of the quality of his work, however, we could not in good faith recommend him to anyone after the experience we went through at the end. If you hire Tim, we would highly recommend that you do not give him a house key and that you do not give him a final payment until he returns any leftover materials that you have asked for and paid for. Tim, if you are reading this, you know who we are and we would appreciate it if you would just simply return our house key as that is the minimum that you could do. We will gladly amend this review once you do. You can keep the leftover slab but just know that you lost a potential lifetime customer and multiple thousands of dollars in business from us and our family and friend.

Tim Shoemaker did a great job on my bathroom cabinets. He was thorough and provided clear and detailed cost estimates. The work is high quality . I would highly recommend Tim Shoemaker .

Getting good customer service is very important to me, especially being treated in a respectful manner. Tim is a model of what other companies should follow in communicating with your client. I am very pleased with the input he provided on our project and the care he has taken during the installation of the cabinets and vanity in our house. We've liked what he has done so much that we are considering having our kitchen cabinets redone as well. Not only would I hire him again, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have some cabinet/bookshelf work done.

Tim is a class act! I gave him my vision for a built in entertainment center in my new home and he did everything he could to bring it to life. He is very relatable and truly cares about the customer. He has excellent customer service and communication skills. His work is flawless and he backs it 100%. Tim built me an amazing bar area and bookshelf unit with a quartz countertop and a marble backsplash. I had an idea of what I wanted but Tim brought it all to life better than I ever could have imagined it! He had great ideas while keeping with my vision. After the initial meeting he sent a very detailed plan that gave me every confidence he would do a great job. The quality of the work is truly incredible. It is a completely custom piece and it looks like a completely custom piece. Down to matching the exact crown molding that was already in the house! I will be hiring shoemaker construction for all of my future home projects. Customer for life!

Tim was profesional and delivered quality custom cabinets on time, very happy with the work. The job replaced old cabinets and he worked with us to address several fit issues, great customer service.

Tim is the BEST! He took the sporadic designs I had in mind and created custom built ins that made us (and still make us) wow when we walk in the room. He worked in our schedule, did most of the work in his shop and installed himself!! He was flexible and talented with the design. We look foreword to more projects with him soon.

Tim was professional and courteous. His workmanship is incredible. We had built in bookcases done and I cannot say enough about the quality of the finished product. The bookcases turned out even better than we could have dreamed. I would absolutely recommend him.

Tim did a beautiful job creating a TV cabinet for my child. He had great ideas on how to accomplish what we wanted, and the finished product was wonderful. He is also very courteous and conscientious. I highly recommend him.

The ideas and advice provided from an aesthetics view point is certainly a service differentiator. Most of all, very trustworthy - meeting commitments or promptly communicating where such commitments need to be deferred.

Omggg what can we say! We honestly don’t know what we would’ve done or what we would have received had we not hired Tim Shoemaker! His craftsmanship and ideas are Beyond what we could’ve ever imagined. Our laundry room is something straight out of Pinterest and he built it, our new built-in wall oven and microwave he customized the cabinet and the unit fit like a glove. He even fabricated trim to make it look so natural. It’s outstanding and we love it. Tim custom built a farmhouse built-in washer and dryer platform for our laundry room and it looks so amazing. So so amazing and it’s getting hits left and right on Pinterest!! So cool to see my room and people loving it lol. He’s kind, friendly, and Professional! You won’t find a better Carpenter! He custom builds his cabinets. While building the laundry room we gave him 6 other projects. Ask him for my number as a reference. You’ll be glad you did. Price was right on too! Couldn’t be happier!!!!
