Major Renovation - Multiple Rooms

Rod was amazing to work with!! Project was on time and came in under budget because he found better pricing on my kitchen cabinets. The screened deck that was added, with fans, in back is wonderful!

Major Renovation - Multiple Rooms
$110,000
We are three years later still feeling the effects from the horrible job done. Railings installed with nails from a nail gun that were too small. We had to take apart and rebuild. Improperly shored foundation. Breaking wood floors. Plumbing not correctly finished that recently caused a backup of sewerage that had to be re mediated. Windows that were stripped, then not repaired, properly primed and properly reinstalled with actual putty (cheap caulk) have been replaced by us at a cost of $8000. Leaks under bathtubs, around sinks, improper wiring we had to replace, baseboards that have popped off that are not even actually wood or even M.D.F. Not sure what they are. Job went past the date promised and entire weeks went by with no progress. Subcontractors showing up and demanding money because they weren't getting paid. Subcontractors abandoning the job halfway, replaced by people who had no clue how to do anything. Work was not even completed when we got fed up and did it ourselves. None of the above things even cover the mistakes made during the process that we caught and had him fix.We were owed money we advanced personally that was to be reimbursed from the construction loan. We were given a check that bounced. We had to threaten grand theft, then random people showed up for a week giving us a thousand here, 5000 there, until we reached the amount owed to us. One shady character showed up and said the cash was from cashed in poker chips. I am not making this up. We have literally had to redo almost the entire job. My advice: walk away. This has caused a strain on my family mentally and financially that never seems to end.

Major Home Repairs (General Contractor)
This was the kind of experience that leaves one wanting never to trust another contractor ever. He left work unfinished and simply disappeared. I am scrambling to find someone to finish the work. The first portion of the work was completed which was shower install and flooring and all that had to be torn up and redone because the workers he hired do not have skills to do job correctly. Rod installed in bedroom closet was too close to closet door. That had to be remediated. The paint job is the worse I have seen by so called professionals. Paint spots were left on baseboards and closet doors and some pieces of furniture. Installed a metal edging on the new tile run he did on the second tile install of shower area which has me still fuming. I had no idea he was going to do that. He decided himself that he would make that decision on his own. He left the property totally unclean. I am very upset and angry over this complete lack of concern for a paying customer. Oh, yes I did pay him.
