Tom Short and his crew were professional and hard working, and a pleasure to work with. During the period when our porch, driveway, and sidewalk were restored we had some of the hottest and wettest days of summer. They changed their normal hours to come at 6:30 AM so they could get a full 6 to 7 hours work done each day, before the heat became severe. They pumped water out of our yard so they could pour our driveway. They went above and beyond. When we were interviewing masons to restore the brick tile after the porch was finished, one asked us who had done the work, because it was that good! We would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a beautiful finished product.

Tom had wonderful suggestions for my driveway redesign and his crew was hardworking and courteous. He even found a company that would cap a well-head quickly so the driveway pour would not be delayed.

Tom was very honest and did a wonderful job. I would recommend him for any type of concrete work. I had a concrete slab on the side of my garage and Tom made suggestions so that the slab would not settle. Tom install a 250 concrete driveway, reworked the layout of the parking area in front of our house and replaced our porch. He listened to my requests and made suggestions. The driveway came out better than I had hoped. He was very professional, showed up when he said he would and did what he said he would. When he started my job, he stayed on my job until it was completed and did not leave to start another. I would absolutely use him again and absolutely recommend him.

Owner Tom Short is the man to call for concrete work. He listened to my ideas and then carried them out perfectly. He installed a new driveway, patio, and two sidewalks for us. He was always on time, courteous, and hard working. His quote was fair and reasonable. He helped my husband solve a drainage issue and worked it into the plan. We would call him again and recommend him to others.

Tom Short is a hands-on contractor. He oversaw the job from start to finish and communicated with me throughout the entire process. He removed my existing asphalt driveway and poured a new concrete driveway, cleaned up the job site, and back-filled and leveled my yard. He was courteous and professional. I feel like I got a high-quality driveway for a reasonable price.

Mr. Short and his crew were very professional. They were on time and always kept me informed of the progress being made when I was away. I had a vast amount of concrete to be removed and replaced and it was done in a timely manner. It could not look any better it went above my expectations. Everything was cleaned up and put back in order when they were finished. Short Finishing could not have been any better to deal with, glad I had them do the job.

This is as close as I have ever come to a 5 star review. Why not, well, 5's or 10's just aren't things I give out. Start at the beginning, Tom was up front and honest about the cost and timeline. He knew the ins and outs of working within the city of Kettering, and took the time to pull permits and meet with the city inspector before starting the job. All of that was done without my having to ask him to do so. On the job... Showed up daily and on time as promised. We always knew what would happen the next day. Craftsmanship... I'm not sure I've seen better for this area when it comes to concrete driveways and porches. Simply excellent work. We are excited to use the new porch & driveway, which is now up to code for Kettering. Speed / Dedication.... His crew only takes one job at a time, gives it the necessary attention, and does complete work. Communication... again, very up front and honest. If there is an issue, you will know about it and what is being done to rectify it. What did I wish would have been better? - Landscaping / backfill. They are not landscapers and said so up front. It will take a little more effort to get the yard back together the way I want it around the gorgeous new driveway and porch. This is not something I'm complaining about... this is the _only_ thing that could have been better. Overall, from start to finish, it's a no brainer to hire Tom if he's willing to take on your job. He will do a first rate job and you will be extremely pleased with your driveway and porch. He will not be the cheapest, fastest, or fanciest alternative, but he will be the best value for your money. Tom genuinely cares about each job he does, and it shows.

I had one quote that came in for less, but once I met Tom Short, I knew I wanted to work with him. I was not disappointed. The driveway is beautiful. He also did a walkway and front porch for us. Beautiful. The whole house looks bettter now.
