My Problem: original builder buried a dozen tree stumps under my lawn 16 years ago. Over time, they decomposed and developed sinkholes. I hired Shorts Landscaping to resolve this problem. I am optimistic the work they did (dig out the tree stumps and install a dry well from my downspouts (to keep water away from the foundation). My biggest concern is a lack of communication - he was prompt in providing an estimate and taking my deposit. I did not get a response from him for weeks. I only knew the work was about to start when we found a bobcat parked in our yard. I happened to be out of town while this took place, so I was unable to see the work as it progressed. Finally, I'll say the lawn reseeding they did after completing this work was sub-par. The topsoil was unevenly spread out and has left ruts in the yard which I'll have to address in the spring.
