Nick is meticulous and stands behind his work. He built an amazing deck for us. Two years later from excessive sun some of the edge of the boards were coming up. Nothing to do with installation. I called him just for recommendation of what I should do. He came over with a solution and took care of it himself. And didn't charge me a dime. He in fact thanked me for letting him fix the problem. Since moving south, I have had issues with contractors and handymen being reliable. Nick stands out and would trust him with building a house or any project you have in mind.

Hired Shutter Homes to build our new home in 2022. The quality of work was substandard and finishes were extremely poor. Doors that do not close, hardware on doors crooked, gaps in baseboards/trim, and failure to complete work. Despite being given numerous punch lists, he failed to install the garbage disposal, supply remotes for fans, left a hole in the garage wall, remove temporary water supply in front yard, and did not supply the front door that we paid for. As stated in another review, he built cabinets on-site which literally fell apart. When we contacted him he stated he's not responsible for "abuse to cabinets.' Opening an closing doors is abuse I guess...we had to pay additional money to a competent builder to replace the cabinets due to his extremely poor quality. He would not stand behind his work. Once he got his last check, he disappeared. If you want a handyman to change a light bulb, he may be your guy. But if you want quality craftsmanship and a builder who stands behind his work, find another contractor.

He built our home and it he was late was supposed to be done 2022 a day after Thanksgiving and did not finish until April of 2023 We gave into concessions to get him out and we signed the contract. Since then the plumping backed up because he had a end cap stuffed into the pipe, The roof has leaked. The doors don't open and close. The hardware was never finished on the doors. I have to fix all of it. Deck boards not nailed off correctly. He did not follow manufactures recommendations on installing of products. He had the cabinets built in place and I think a 12 year old could have done a better job. If we back out of the contract he would have got to keep a large some of our money so we were stuck. I would not pay this persona dime until the job was finished. He may be a good handyman but is not a home builder. I would look at better business bureau were he is rated a D+ and is not recommended

Nick did an incredible job with many areas of our home. His professionalism is beyond compare. He is diligent, prompt, thorough and polite. I have never had a contractor who even compares with him. He is exceptional. Anyone who hires Nick is very fortunate To have him for almost any area of the home inside and out. Thank you Nick for tremendous service.

I was very satisfied with everything he did. He is very thorough and on time. He is very reliable and did everything he said he would. There were no up charges or surprises. He made sure everyone he brought with him was very tidy. He had a key to my house the whole time and I never had a single fear about it. He is a very conscientious individual and takes the time to make sure everything is done perfectly.

There was things I was okay with that were not acceptable to him so he went above and beyond to redo everything not up to his standards. He does every single thing he does in a very timely manner. He was very responsive and always showed up when he said he would.
