Had a bathroom redone a few years ago. I hated his work but wasn't going to leave a review, but I'm now finally fixing the things he messed up and it is pissing me off. So, here is the list of issues. Very first thing is he put my light fixture so close to the medicine cabinet that I have to remove the light fixture to change the bulbs. Next, he didn't center the medicine cabinet over my sink. Have the same cabinet in my downstairs bathroom, installed by someone else, perfectly centered. His grout work was horrible. So much excess in the corners. I was constantly scraping it off. Still not perfect but better. Missing some grout at the top of the tile wall too. He didn't seal the base of my tub. Within a few days my ceiling paint began crackling. I didn't know what paint he used because the mold resistant bathroom paint I left with the supplies wasn't touched, so at first I thought it was the paint. Then I researched and found out that usually happens when you use fast drying paint over slow drying paint. Didn't make sense to me. Well now that I have finally had enough of paint chips falling all over my bathroom I realize the problem areas are exactly where he put compound. He didn't let the compoud fully dry. When he installed the tile he put identical tiles in the same direction right in the middle of the small bathroom. I came home and saw it after he was already gone. We told him the next day. He was clearly bothered we wanted it fixed had the audacity to complain about us not calling him the night before. This was my project. I did the design and hiring. He was extremely sexist, essentially refusing to communicate with me once he met my husband. We had gotten new doors for the entire house. While he was working on the bathroom we were working on the doors. We kept all the doors in the house natural with tung oil, literally three doors within 5' of the bathroom and he decides to paint the door white. He paid to replace it but had attitude about it and tried to blame me. It was the last day. He had told me he was coming by to touch up and install the door. I was leaving to work and he asked me for the paint. I gave it to him. Apparently I was supposed to know that he wanted the paint for the door because he was done painting. And, he cut my hallway carpet for the threshold but didn't tuck it under, so there's just an inch of random carpet sticking out. Finally, when the project began, before I was just so done with him, we had spoken about doing the bathroom downstairs. Same size, as well as tiling it out to the small kitchen. 10x14 with a small 6x3 hallway. He was also doing something for my mother, but the materials were in backorder so he did my bathroom first. Apparently he shorted himself on the quote he gave her but since it was through one of those sites, he couldn't cancel. So, he tried to double the price for the bathroom downstairs with the tile work. I didn't even respond to the ridiculous quote, though even if it had been a great price, I still wouldn't have based on his work and attitude alone. I ended up getting the bathroom, kitchen floor AND granite counters with new sink installation done for 5k less from our now favorite contractor including the plumbing, where I needed to hire my own plumber with him. Anyway, scraping my bathroom ceiling and being reminded of his shitty work pissed me off and I needed to vent.

Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install

If you are looking for a contractor who is dependable, knowledgeable, fair in pricing, cleans as he goes along, performs QUALITY workmanship...then look no further! You have found Silvano! He and his team tore up my old ceramic kitchen floor which produced lots of demon dust in the process. I was amazed how he was able to contain the clouds of dust to a minimum by draping and covering my walls in the kitchen by making a plastic tent. He installed a new subfloor and new ceramic tile and I couldn’t be happier!! It is gorgeous! Silvano also built a custom fireplace mantle made of wood to cover the old brick mantle and then painted the remainder of the old orange dingy fireplace bricks a matte black. I love it!! Silvano’s talents do not cease to amaze me! He is too good to be true! Karyn Gentile Woburn Feb 16, 2021 P.S. After seeing the workmanship Silvano did at my home, my neighbor & my cousin are both planning on hiring Silvano early spring!!
