They didnâ t show up for work until a) callling me the night before work start date (10/17/23) to tell me that they had failed to include $10,000 worth of trenching in their plan, b) The original design was completed prior to signing the contract on March 24, 2023, seven months before informing me of their $10,000 error. c) A crew showed up the next day, two of whom spoke no English, and one of those appeared to be no older than 14 years of age. The foreman confided that he always had misgivings about the initial phase of the project, changing out an old electric panel and upgrading to a new one capable of supporting the new solar system. At that point I decided to fire Silverline. d) I demanded a refund of my second payment of $17,450. Silverline told me they would withhold $3800 â restocking fee,â which I disputed. They actually withheld $5100, although the letter accompanying the refund indicated they were withholding $4100. e) I followed up with three local solar contractors (Silverline is headquartered in southern California. The job was in northern California). They all indicated that Silverline oversold me, that the solar battery would not pay for itself or be of much use as a utility backup as Silverline claimed, due to shading of the installation area, and that the output of the panels was overestimated. f) Silverline misinformed me that the NEM2 pricing agreement agreed upon with the electric utility on this project could not be transferred to another contractor. This was untrue, I presume a lie intended to hold me to their very favorable (to them) contract with me. NEM2 agreements ended in April 2023. The succeding utility agreements are much less financially beneficial to the utility customer. g) I fired Silverline, and even with the loss of my $1,000 deposit and $4,100 â restocking fee,â I believe I am better off financially because I fired them. I suspect the installation would have been faulty given the appearance of the crew (the actual installing contractor needed two days for the new main panel and solar panel installations), whom Silverline claimed would finish the job in one day (including trenching to support a battery, and the battery installation). I suspect there would have been damage to my original structure as well, given the low level of professionalism demonstrated by Silverlline.

A long over due thank you to Steven and Silverline. The project came off without a hitch, and so did the SCE charges. Really looking forward to the eventual power banks but for now I'm so thrilled with the slim design and the ability to plug-in any car that's equipped, on the side of the house. Thank you, and I look forward to working together as our needs grow.

Steven, Nicole and Gabriel are awesome! I interviewed 12 GC for my full home remodel and Silverline was by far the best company. This second generation builder is professional, on time and on budget. They provide tremendous customer service and are on top of every detail. Thank you Silverline for making our dream home!

Steven Biton was a pleasure to work with. His solar installers did excellent work, and I am very pleased with the outcome.

Steven and Nicole are very nice and attentive business owners. The panels have not been installed, so I cannot comment on work quality. They made us feel good about the whole solar idea. A lot of skepticism out there and fear when you hear the word solar. They answered all of our question and we both felt at ease. No pressure at all. That is a big deal for us. We believe that they really want to provide a service that will be a long term one. Some businesses give the impression that when the job is done and any problems arise, we'd be lucky to find them again. Integrity and honesty are hard to come by and we feel that Steven and Nicole have that. They will succeed in all they do!! High recommendation. You must give Silverline Solar a chance to do your solar. You won't be disappointed.
