"we showed up on time and we installed the lights exactly the way you wanted them. the price is given to each customer before we come out. it's $75.00 per hour for installing Christmas lights with a one hour minimum. if it takes 20 minutes it still cost us the same to send the tech to your house. we have hundreds of other customers who say they can't even get anyone to come out for that small of a job but we do it as a service to our clients. customer called said he gave us someone else's review and he requested more work."

Originally scheduled for Monday 12/8/14 between noon and four. I called at 4:20 and was told the installer was delayed at another location but would be there soon. At 5:30 I received a follow-up call to advise me they would not be able to make it that day and the soonest they could get to me would be Thursday at 9a.m.. They were on time that day and it only took about 35 minutes to do the project. On that day, I scheduled removal of the lights for Jan. 5 2015. I received a call the next day confirming the Jan 5 date at 9a.m.. On Jan. 5, I received a call at 10:15 stating they would be at my house in about 35 minutes. I explained that I had been expecting them at 9a.m. and I had to leave before they would get there. I was told to just leave a check and they would take the lights down and put them on the front porch. To summarize, they were late for both appointments, causing me no small amount of inconvenience, did both ends of the job in less than a full hour but charged me the full $150.00. I am sure they don't care but I will not be using them for anything else in the future.

"I would like to apologize for the inconvenience of your first install. when doing Christmas lights each job can run long depending on the amount of lights the customer has. as for the time of removal of the lights your appointment was a window from 9-12 and we would call ahead of time. as for the charges it is $75 minimum because that is what it cost us to send a man out for even five minutes. you were given the rates up front and they are more than reasonable rates. again I apologize, I'm sorry."

Everything was great on Simmons' part. The problem was with the fan itself. The circuit breaker was bad so that part had to be ordered. Five days laster, the whf was complete. Simmons Electric worked with me from start to finish.

He was on-time, clean, courteous, and best of all, he knew what he was doing. Charlie diagnosed and fixed my worn out switch plate and recognized an outlet error installed by another electrician last year. all done in less than an hour and everything works great. $10/more per hour than some, but worth it to get things right by a pro with good communication skills.
