Ken did a great job. His knowledge of the construction business as well as his ability to handle all required inspections was a huge plus. There were no findings from any of the inspections performed by the City. I recommend him for any job you may have.

Had them fix my deck, and 5 month later it was falling apart. Told them to come fix it and they came out and put some nails in it, I could have done. The deck is pulling away from the house. My husband had to do a new deck. Remodeled the basement very poor drywall work, can see the seams. My home was a mess and they did not clean up after themselves

The projects taken on were simple. Finish a basement and remodel a bathroom. The quality of the work was poor and there was no attention to detail. I constantly had to point out painting errors, caulk left on the ceiling and around my windows, the caulk job is sloppy and unsealed in the shower making it appear older than it is, and the molding in the bathroom was left incomplete. Ken takes on too many jobs at once and doesn't give the dedication to a project he should. The timelines are nowhere near accurate at all either and he almost jeopardized my loan requirements. He cuts corners to make his job simpler and makes it seem like you're "getting a good deal". His project work is basic so if you're just looking for labor at a good cost, then I would say they"re basic but not perfect however if you're looking for a professional that has years of industry experience that can also consult with you, offer recommendations for a lasting project and top notch quality then this company is just not for you. We have uneven tile work in our bathroom on our walls and floors. I now stand on a raised tile when brushing my teeth every day. Their custom cabinets look like I picked them up at a bargain price at a yard sale and I have to (after spending nearly $1000 for them) buy new ones because they make my bathroom look cheap to say the least. They installed my light fixtures with different colored, shaped and different wattage light bulbs, didn't ground my outlet because they didn't want to do additional electrical work, didn't expand my shower or move my toilet because they wanted to utilize the already existing plumbing and didn't install light switches where they should be. I also had to be the visionary to come up with solutions for an awkward home like flipping around light switches so doors would close properly. He (Ken) says all the right things to get the jobs done but then has poor and cheap craftsmanship. He also makes excuses like "we can't rearrange your layout because of where your floorboards are" without seeing subflooring. When a contractor thinks you don't know about homes or their structure and they try to make their lives easier, that's not the type of contractor you want to hire. The positives: he's trustworthy in your home and arrives early on the days he's dedicated to your project The negatives: my very expensive custom cabinets smell like cigarette smoke because he must smoke in his shop where he does his painting so beware of "custom" work unless you too are a smoker and his pictures of his other custom work does not look like what he will deliver to you. His referrals said to me when I contacted them before my work that he's good once you can get him on the job but I didn't think "good" was literal -just good. Also, contractors that have been doing work like this for years should advise you of things like doing projects in the winter where you need to drill but the ground might be frozen so you don't sit for weeks waiting for w

Working with Ken Burton was fantastic. He started and finished the job without any other jobs in-between and always kept the basement clean and tidy. He worked with us to make the project fit within our budget. Ken is one of the nicest people you'll ever have the pleasure to work with. I would definitely hire him again for another job.

Ken brings old-fashioned customer service and quality to the project. I knew he was the right choice when they actually cleaned up the work area the very first day. When he makes a promise he keeps it.

We had a very good experience in working with Ken, the contractor. We have a very good communication with Ken before and during the project. He provided us many useful on line resources (flooring material option, projector screen paint option) by email communication to help us to plan and barge the project in advanced. We have a lot of productive discussions about the structure design and material selection, and we evaluate the pro and con of different ideas together.
