Plumber quoted us $250.00 to replace a Kitchen Faucet, Plumber attempted to install a new Single handle Kitchen Faucet that was installed, but not completed. Plumber showed us the water was working, however, only the hot water was working when plumber left. This was noticed right after the Plumber left and we immediately contacted the Plumber who said he would come out and see what the issue was. Plumber showed up for 4 days later, worked another 2 hours on the faucet, charged us and extra $200.00 that was not originally in the contract and still Kitchen Faucet had no cold water. . Plumber stated it was a common issue that when the water was turned back on, there was dirt that ran thru the line and blocked the faucet cold water from coming out. Plumber stated this was a common issue, however, my understanding is that whenever the main water is turned back on, the bathtub faucet is normally turned on first to clear any dirt from entering the smaller kitchen faucet lines. This was not done first. Plumber tried to clear the lines by taking out the faucet handle and stated the issue was in the handle. Plumber then tried to use an air hose from an air compressor which did not work. Plumber than said that the new kitchen faucet would need to be replaced entirely and left stating that he would contact Delta Kitchen Faucets the next day. Delta is the manufacture. Delta Kitchen faucets then sent a new part, Part # RP73000 that would have replaced and should have corrected the blockage. Delta Faucet Co. also stated this was a common issue. Plumber was notified and stated he would again call back Delta Faucets. A few days later because of the holidays, I then asked for an update status on when my Kitchen Faucet would be completed and installed, to which at this point, for a simple Kitchen Faucet to be replaced it has been 31 Days, and still not working properly and in fact worse off than when the project was started. Plumber has since ghosted me.
