"Mr. D[consumer name withheld per request], it was a full replacement on your roof, not a repair. We send you a quote for the roof and a separate quote for your fence. You approve the roof only, for the price on the proposal and that is what we did. After everything was done we send final invoice. You did not pay for the invoice up to this date. After 1 month of having my staff chasing you around to try to collect. Your answer was that you are going to pay as you please and made a first payment. That is when I got involved on your case, and told you we are not a finance company, but we can try to help you get your roof financed by a third party, even we knew you have your roof paid by the insurance company. The payment as you can option you were giving us was unacceptable and completely out of any standard procedures after the roof was installed. At this point you mentioned we can even take it or you will have us added to your chapter 13, bankruptcy. During all these conversation back and forward, you throw to the conversation something about final clean up, and my answer was you should tell us so we can take care of any issues. And than you state you were going to talk to your lawyer to add us to your chapter 13. Sir, you do not hire someone to do a job for you, and then just don't pay them. It is important to let your contractor know that you are not going to pay them and you are in bankruptcy. There is nothing disrespectful in any of my conversations with you. You did not pay for your roof and now you are trying to throw trash on our company... Wow.!"
