Needed a handy man to fix a broken stem valve in bathtub and the screw was completely stripped. Dave was able to take out the screw, go buy a new valve stem and install it. Excellent work

I needed a handyman to caulk our shower enclosure. My wife and I had caulked it 3 times in the 4 months we've owned the house, and cracks kept forming. Dave came out, and told us that the enclosure is a locking system, and as long as we don't see water damage downstairs, the caulking is fine. He ended up not charging us for this information, which was great!

Never did the work he said he did and took BIG money for it. Hes an absolute low-life, crook. Its unambiguous. He talked smooth up front then drug out a job many weeks passed the promised completion date. Took a 50% deposit up front, then asked for four-figure amount additional payments before the work was finished. When questioned why, as going over the long list of items from the Professional Home Inspection we had prior to putting the home on the market, this so-called Handyman said, That item is done, YEP...DONE...done...done. Will be done end of day. etc. Then, at end of day, he asked for the final nearly $7,000.00 check into the mid thousands, even though he had promised to give credit for original bid items we found did NOT need to be done, never giving the credits he promised. After Skylark confirmed the work was totally completed and was paid, we hired the original Licensed and Certified Home Inspector to come back and check Skylark Daves work. OMG! What we found was that Skylark Dave only repaired items this retired couple could see and did a horrible job at that. Of course, older people are not going to check the crawl space or get up on the roof and those were the biggest items on the list. When the forthright Home Inspector reported back, with photos, we found that most of the things Skylark said were completed, were never even touched at all and looked the exact same as before he ever started. Just one example of why we say he is a crook and he was supposed to wrap ductwork pipes with insulation. What the Inspector found was that he simply took regular pieces of wall insulation and laid them lengthwise only on the side of the 14 duct work and wrapped duct tape around the pipe to hold the insulation in place. That way, all someone could see if they peaked into the crawlspace hatch opening, was a pipe that appeared to be wrapped but it was not. entire pipe. The other three sides of duct-work were totally untouched; a total facade fake out rip-off that would do nothing to insulate. There are many more examples. Luckily we were able to stop payment on the last nearly $7,000 check. Of course, we did; he never did the work! Then this guy went from smooth, reassuring and comforting talker to an aggressive, threatening bully. He blatantly laughed in the victims face with an emoji blowing a kiss signature putting an exclamation mark on his pride in being a scumbag. He even had the gall to place a contractors lien against the title to the house, a real scammer. Also, we later noticed, he never even put his address on the balance sheet. Yes, a balance sheet is all he provided. We never got a breakdown of what he was charging for each individual task so we could not tell what he was charging for what in the end. He promised us a list several times but obviously never gave us one on purpose. Its no matter, we have his original bids from up front, numerous emails of proof and tons of proof that he lied and blatantly *****. We had to hire and pay for a different handyman who, also, took before and after pictures of his work; us being wiser this time. He did a great job and agreed, as did the Home Inspector; Skylark should lose his license, let alone be prosecuted. Hes a predator.. Be aware, especially the vulnerable retirement aged!

Skylark gave us the most honest quote, literally saving us over $400 for a job other professionals tried to price gouge us for. He was on time, worked efficiently, and did the job right. Will absolutely recommend, given any opportunity to!

Dave, who is the owner of Skylark, responded within 1/2 hour of my request for work. What s even more impressive is that he was here on site in less than one hour and had the job done within three hours. He is remarkable very well spoken and knows what he s talking about. Not only was he prompt but he was very clean in his work.I would recommend him to anyone looking for good, thorough work. As a matter of fact I am going to have him back to do several other small projects for me proud to say that he is great.

Dave was great, got the closets in the condo I just bought demo'd, repaired and painted to be ready for custom closet install, had the drywall repaired on one wall and most of the condo painted, excellent work and clean up, more projects to come! Dave was kind enough to fit my little project into his schedule, demolition of an old brick fireplace façade and replaced with a very sleek and updated ceramic tile surround with mantle that I love.
