Skyridge Roofing and Masonry

The provider contacted me after I posted a need for repairs on Angi s List. When he came to my home, he seemed pleasant, reviewed the damages to my home and garage, asked for my insurance agent info then told me about the required upgrades per Ohio law, told me after speaking to my insurance agent that all I need do was select the color of the siding, since the present color was discontinued, he would get the needed materials and they would begin the work. Unfortunately, I became very ill during that time; I also sustained serious trauma to multiple joints and was not able to meet with the contractor. I phoned them, notifying the company of the situation and advised them that I would contact them. Towards the end of the year, I contacted them, asked for the contractor, John Kosak, and was informed that he no longer worked for the company, but the owner, Mr. Shaun Pierce, said he would honor the contract. On December 23, 2023, I provided him a check in the amount of $5,000, but I became critically ill and have not been able to meet with him. I have tried for more than 2 months to reach said contractor, however, all that I am able to reach is the voicemail which says we are open from 8am-4pm, M-F. If you are calling during these hours, we are on another line. Please leave a message and your phone number and we will return your call. To date, that has yet to happen.

Their have given me false promises. The work was never started and they are not refunding the money.

Stay away from these guys! Regrettably I hired them to repair my chimney mortar joints and replace the crown. I had no idea they would leave me with a damaged roof to repair their mess. After checking their work I found many problems: a crack in the top of the new crown cement, mortar joints not repaired or half-assed, and my shingles damaged with mortar runoff stains. They came back to fix it and did not. They scrubbed half the grit off my shingles but did not remove the stain. I called, left text and email messages; no response. I am a 73 year old man and I had to go on the roof for 2 days with products I bought, and work to repair the damage they did to my roof. Unbelievable that they would not fix the damage they caused. Horrible company! No care for their customers or their company reputation. Even if you are desperate for a chimney repair DO NOT hire these shysters or you will regret it.

They promised they could complete the work within 2 weeks of our signing a contract with them yet 5 weeks later nothing had been accomplished so we have cancelled the contract and are still waiting the return of our deposit.

I had an agreement with them to install my gutters and my roofing and I'm not satisfied with the way the project is going. Every time they say they will come they don't and I need to keep calling, I expect the service for what I paid.

Nice job completed on schedule. Clean up was perfect and although the masonry work area was in a flower bed, there were no rose bush casualties and they were mindful of the emerging perennials! Very happy.

We hired Skyridge to repair roof at my elderly mother's home. Other companies had been there before and said the problem was fixed, but any time it would rain the roof would leak and the companies would come back and charge her more money, but the problem was never fixed. When Skyridge Roofing came out, they were very polite, figured out the problem and repaired it correctly. My mom was very happy with the service and I would recommend them to anyone. The staff is amazing and they have great work ethics.

They came out and did a great job. Very cordial and informative. Took care of an issue that wasn't explicitly spelled out in the contract which was a very pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again in the future.

I hired Skyridge about a year ago to tuck point and rebuild stairs. In general, the work was good, but not great. It was after work when I got home, and I had hungry kids and dog, so I took a brief look and paid. However, when I looked more carefully later that day, there were several problem areas that were left completely unaddressed. I immediately called to report the problem and was told someone would come by to fix them. I also wrote, and sent pictures with the problems circled and describing exactly where they were. I waited and waited and waited, but to my knowledge, nobody ever came by. Go ahead and hire them. Just don't pay them until you have the time to inspect the work carefully. It seems once they leave with payment, that is the end of their commitment to their work.

The job as it appears to be left was unsatisfactory because we are left with a cracked step and unsecured railings. In our opinion this is unsatisfactory. They intimated that the crack in the step was caused by us the customer. The job has been paid in full. They never had to beg us for the money, they got it the minute they asked for it. However, when we call, we get intermittent return calls. We get their answering machine.

Skyridge provided quick turnaround on scheduling to stop over, provide an estimate and complete the work. They professionally explained why I was having the issue and how they planned on repairing it. Also suggested tuck pointing the chimney to insure that it didn t become part of a roof problem in the future. No shrugged shoulders and vague answers. Professional from start to finish. Ultimate compliment is that I recommended them to a neighbor, who was also happy with their work.
