Slark and Son's Painting

Contracted at a fixed price to demolish barn, silos and remove debris. Walked off job, only approx. 1/3 completed, claiming he needed a lot more money when I had already paid for more than 1/2 the contracted price. He was argumentative, tried to blame me as the customer, and did not tell the truth saying I changed the contract when I did not, Mr. Slark has a history of walking off other jobs (see other reviews) and I understand he is being sued by another party in Franklin County.

He failed to complete the job in a timely manner . As a matter of fact when he walked off the job it was only about 60% done. He walked off after 5 months from what was supposed to be an8 to 10 week project, . He was extremely argumentative with huge failures in communication. Additionally he stopped paying his sub contractors. One of the subcontractors who was not paid has already filed a $10,000 lien on our house.

He cancelled the contract because we came to an impasse on what the contract said, what he was coming to do, and that he was requesting more money. I was not comfortable with the changes and it was mutual to not continue with the contract. He said a check to refund my deposit would be mailed in 5 to 7 days, instead of returning my money he is claiming I breeched the contract and is threatening me with his attorney. I told him upon hiring him of my concern over paying a deposit upfront as have had this same scenario with previous contractors and paying before work was discussed. He swore he was not that guy! I do not have my refund and 2 weeks have passed.

WOW! Where do i start? Josh, Chuck and Team are a professional harding working team! Started early every morning and worked incredibly hard all day. Excellent communication, They corrected several existing structural issues at a very minimal expense! Although the Slark team ran into bad weather (rain and extreme heat) they completed our project on time. Over the 32 years we have lived in Dublin, we have had several companies (large and small) complete work on our home from Kitchen/ Bathroom renovations to basement remodel. Our experience with Josh, Chuck and the Slark team was by far the best experience we have had! If our home needs additional work inside or out, Slark and Son will be doing the job.

The price was a little more than quoted/expected because a rise in the cost of materials but I figured this would happen so Iâ m not upset. We were very happy with the quality of carpentry work done on the front of our home and would recommend this business. It was a challenging project

We hired Josh in Dublin Ohio for external paint job. Josh s work is high of quality. He is easy to communicate with and get hold of others phone.

The pricing was very good, it was reasonable, cleaned up after themselves, professional and they did a very good job.

He has done a lot of interior painting and exterior painting. He just finished painting some exterior shutters and trim for me and it was an excellent job!
