They did an excellent job to my porch/door repainting. Isaias was responsive and friendly. After two years, we hired Smart Choice for other interior painting project. The timely responses are great in compare with my other experiences with other contractors. Happy with the result in the return service.

Isaias was very communicative throughout the whole process , which like everything, was impacted by COVID. Pricing for the work , which included fascia repair and sanding of the old clapboard in many sections , was a little less than the other highly rated painters in the area. Quality was very high and they were patient as we debated a number of foundation color sections at the last minute

They are worth it, don t be afraid to hire them! Fair prices, great work. They did a full kitchen Reno for me and the results were outstanding.

Extremely unhappy with this contractor who estimated the job at 3 weeks and took 8 weeks there were lots of days they worked part of the day or did not show up. Machine sanding to remove old paint great but the detail work that needed to be done (fretwork on porch railing) was painted over without scraping or sanding in many areas and we needed to insist old paint be removed. He promised to respect shrubs and trees: instead, several large branches of shrubs were broken off, one holly tree had branches cut back to trunk on two sides ruining the shape of a tree ( they could have been trimmed for more room for painters. He promised to cover shrubs with plastic and vacuum up any paint chips; I have a large bag of chips I picked up and still not finished! My stained deck and front porch were left with spills of trim and siding paint on them that cannot be removed and must be repainted/stained. About halfway through he told me had underestimated the job and was losing money Then he got ruder and ruder! One day he told me to Shut Up and thereafter I had my husband deal with him. I have owned my own interior design firm for 40 years and dealt with all kinds of contractors but have NEVER experience the rudeness shown to me by Isaias Mejia of Smart Choice Painting. By the way, I had 2 other estimates and he was right in line price-wise; I chose him because of the pictures he showed me of his work, his polite manner, and that he appeared to want to work on an old house. he also said he supervised his crew and would be present; he was at the beginning of the day and sometimes at the end for a few minutes. And because HE HAS A 2019 VERY HIGH TRIP ADVISOR RATING on his website!!!! I was certainly fooled! I do not usually write negative reviews but I hope this keeps someone from experiencing my painting nightmare.

Great experience, worked fast and did more than requested. I would happily hire them again. Painted the exterior of my house and also did drywall repairs inside. They were worth the money and their prices were very fair.

The estimate was professionally prepared with all the details of the work to be performed. The preparation of the surface (out door porch floor) was done very meticulously. I am very satisfied with the work performed. The estimate was a little higher than other companies, HOWEVER the manner in which the work was performed WAS WELL WORTH IT. Due to weather conditions the work took a little longer than i expected. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Smart Choice Painting. I would use them again.

Very thorough. Did a great job

Isaias was very professional. He wrote up an estimate and was able to fit my small project into his schedule quickly. The crew did a great job patching the cracks in my foundation and painting the window trim. The only problem I had was that the painter who came to my house to do the job did not notice that the second can of paint was a different color than the first can due to an error in the store. Therefore, he ended up painting the wrong color for the second coat over the right color which was the first coat. I wish he would have been a little more observant when he was painting and would have told us that the second can of paint was a different color so that we could have gone back to the store and corrected their error before he painted the entire foundation. We ended up with the wrong color on our foundation because of it. However, when we noticed the error, Isaias sent his crew back again to paint the one side of the foundation that was the original color so that it could match the rest of the house (even though it had to be done in the wrong color to match).

The Smart Choice Painting crew applied solid stain to my two decks in two colors: off-white ( 3 coats) and brown (2 coats). The crew was careful and worked continuously to complete the job in very warm weather. A third coat was necessary to for the light stain over a dark stain, a service provided at the original quoted price, which I considered quite reasonable. The owner of Smart Choice, Isaias Mejia, was very professional in our dealings both for this job and a similar stain application four years ago. The newly stained two-deck looks very good; both the contractor and I have taken many pictures. Smart Choice also power washed the siding on my house. They did an excellent job and were much neater and at a slightly lower cost than the previous contractor. Overall I have been very pleased with Smart Choice, Jim Stevenson

They did a great job, worked quickly, and the quality was solid.

They were extremely meticulous and care about a job well done. They power washed, sanded, primed and stained my very large deck. The sanding was very labor intensive since the previous paint job was poor and peeling.

Good quality of work and great value. Came back promptly to correct small issues due to the weather.
