    So I have now been stood up for a third time by this business. I contracted with them to do work, they agreed to the work. The owner was very attentive and persuasive about his work and what a good job they do when he was bidding the job. Then on the start date, they did not show up. I texted the owner and his response was *sorry I was busy*. I said okay, that happens, and can you start in the next few days. He says yes, and then again does not show up. He says I was unclear about what time to be there, so I think, okay maybe it was me. Now today he was scheduled to start with understanding that I would be at work, but he could start on the outside work. Text him at 9:15am to ask where he is and let him know a relative is there waiting for him. He texts back *sorry I cannot go, my apologies*. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. Would not recommend this business to anyone.

    I have requested a call back from HomeAdvisor on this job THREE TIMES already and no one has called me back. Smart Handyman Services was paid well to transport the bottom of a table and a drum set from my mother's house to mine and to assemble the table upon their arrival. Basically, just to put the table top on! When they first arrived, two pieces and a symbol was all they had with them instead of the drum set entire so they had to go back and get the remaining pieces. When they returned, they said that the table top was "too heavy" for just two guys to carry upstairs. I explained that two men had brought it downstairs. The Owner said they would be back tomorrow with a third guy but that it would be $100 extra. I told him I did not wish to pay $100 extra for a job he had already received payment on. "Tomorrow" came and went and no one came to the house. I called him to ask him to finish the job and to please put the table top on and THIS TIME he said for the third guy 'it will cost you $150." I told him not to bother to come. That I am reporting him to HomeAdvisor. And I will let them sort it out. Very shady after already having been paid hundreds of dollars.
