Juan did a great job fixing my ac. In less than an hour, he diagnosed and fixed it. Their prices are reasonable too.

Was able to get a service appointment later the same day that I called. Juan is a smart, friendly, respectful technician who diagnosed and fixed the problem with our HVAC heat pump quickly. Turned out the OEM capacitor that failed in our 5-year old Trane XR condenser was a lower-end Chinese-made model which Juan replaced with a more robust USA-made capacitor.

I’ve used Smart three times now, once for a tune up by Jesus, second for repair from Juan and the third was a entire HVAC replacement. Juan was very honest with me when he did our repair and suggested we shop around for prices because the repair would’ve cost us about $6,000 but might not last long… and a new unit would be around $18,000… so once his temporary repair was done (add Freon for $924) about three weeks later, the ac went out again. So it was time to just replace the 18 year old system… I checked with three other competitors. Smart landed right in the middle. I told Sam from Smart that I had a bid that was slightly lower than his and he called me to discuss it. Sam was very knowledgeable and patient. After our talk, I decided to go with Smart that night. Their crew showed up the next week and complete the job in about 10 hours. The crew complied of Jesus, Juan, Benny and George. Everyone was very professional and went the extra mile. They helped me fix some electrical issue in the attic, correct some vents that were installed backwards (thanks Plute Homes) and even vacuumed the area after the job. They were all very considerate that I had pets around and kept the door shut. I highly recommend Smart. Their contractor also came the next day to fit the new attic door.

Sept 6, 2026 update: Still 🩵 SH&AC! They're the absolute best! Prev: Our (now-)previous 16 y/o Rheem HVAC system started showing it's age recently, so we decided to replace it (for that and other reasons). Despite being improperly sized and installed by a different company, it had a good run. I switched to Smart Heating and AC for our servicing and maintenance a couple years ago, and have been so happy with them, I knew they were the ones I wanted for a new system too! They are always on time, professional, knowledgeable, and come with such honesty and integrity, and for the install of the new system, nothing was any different. They installed a new Goodman Heat Pump system + new water heater, and all their work was so cleanly done, and you can see much of that from the included pictures. They put in a nice new air-handler breaker in the garage where none had been before and patched up that (and similar) wall-work so nicely. They also went above and beyond and also added new Intermatic surge protectors at both that breaker and the breaker for the outside heat pump (the part where the shining green LED is coming from). They added extra straps too + wrapped and taped up the new ducting so cleanly as well. There was a lot of suboptimal (to put it nicely) work done by the previous system installers, which they corrected. It was a lot of work going from a traditional simple single stage gas furnace and single-function outside AC condenser unit to a fully communicating variable HEAT PUMP HVAC system, but they finished after about 9 hours, and the system has been fantastic so far since! It was also nice going from a janky "behind the wall" in-the-basement MERV 8 return air filter setup from the previous install job, to a properly-installed under the air-handler MERV 15 system, which will result in a massive improvement in air quality (& filter change convenience). The actual outdoor heat pump is about 1/2 the size of the previous AC condenser unit, yet does both heating and cooling functions for the home AND is also very quiet, about 1/4th the sound level of the previous AC condenser unit it replaced. Plus, the inside temperature is now just a solid stable temperature throughout the house, whereas there would be much larger swings in temperature, especially room-to-room before. It also came with a super nice, full-featured, cloud-connected thermostat with a great app to control everything so easily from anywhere. In short, so far we are thrilled with everything about the install work AND new system! I want to end by giving a huge shout-out to the fantastic Smart Heating & AC employees who worked so hard and with such skill to do such a beautiful, clean, and solid install of our new home HVAC system: Jorge, Jesus, Ricky, & Benny are all amazing, and we are grateful to you all for all your hard work on our behalf. It definitely shows, and the system is running great and is such a huge upgrade from the previous system. They also were respectful of the home and cleaned up everything great before leaving! Zero complaints, only compliments and gratitude for all of them! Mike, one of the owners, who did the initial consult and design of the new system was also amazing, so knowledgeable, personable, with such honesty and integrity. You can instantly tell he's just a good guy who always just strives to do right by his customers, including by adding on some of his own above-and-beyond guarantees about the system and their install, and not just the manufacturer warranty. I'm so happy I found Smart Heating & Air Conditioning, and am confident we will continue to be taken care of so well in the coming years by the entire Smart team. Having this type of confidence is super-important when it comes to your HVAC system & water heater. You don't want to wait 2 days or have shoddy repairs that shorten your equipment lifespan, for instance. These are significant investments and critical functions for the home. They do an outstanding detailed job on examining your equipment and explain the problems that are going on and problems that might arise and then back it up with pictures. They send all this info to you via your computor. They also do a great job cleaning up after they are finished. They are very professional!

Smart Heating and Air Conditioner was exemplary. They provided prompt, excellent, and commendable service. They walked us through everything that was done on our units, detailed what the issue was, and made sure the issue was resolved. Hats off to Mike and the entire Smart family. I called Smart Heating and Air Conditioning for a quote to replace my AC unit. Mike, came out and took his time with the inspection, and also took his time explaining to me everything that needed to be done. The pricing is competitive, but definitely worth the money. The whole install went perfect.

We had to upgrade our old furnace and AC so we decided to look around and call a couple companies to come and give us a quote. We decided to go with Smart heating and air, their prices were upfront and fair. We got our systems installed in a very professional manner. All the technicians wore masks, they used foot covers and put down cloths to protect our floors. After they installed they tested both ac and heater to make sure it was working. The cool thing about it is that we can control the temperature with our nest app without getting up with our phone. I love this bc I was always forgetting to turn off our system but now I can do it anywhere. I totally recommend this company. We will use them for any HVAC related concerns.

Smart Heating and Air Conditioning was very responsive and came out when we really needed them. We were without heat as our old furnace no longer worked and our AC was on its last leg. Mike came out to give us a quote which was the best out of three that we had. He went over all options with us and now we are very satisfied to have a new and efficient heating and AC system. They lived up to their name as well, by upgrading my thermostat to a WiFi one that added that SMART touch to mv system.
