Ed is very good and is completely competent. I would have rated him with "5s", but he left a crack showing along the length of the blind enclosure due to curvature in our ceiling. It would have been great if he had come up with a solution for concealing the crack.

"Sorry Lance, don�t install drywall. As I told you before you ordered there would be a gap between the top fascia and the ceiling due to the fact when you converted your patio to a room the ceiling is very uneven. I must install my product level. I did suggest you get a carpenter to build a custom box to match the ceiling waviness. If you are that unhappy with it, I will take down the fascia and you can have a someone build a custom wood box that can match your ceiling."

We have electric shades on 5 tall front windows. They were installed about 13 yrs ago. The guys that did the install are out of business. I found the greatest guy for our repair on Service Magic. It's a complex system and we are in the process of repair, so happy to find a professional to help us!

I would recommend Ed Gilbert of Smart Shading Systems very highly. He knows his stuff. He was right on schedule installing two beautiful and very large skylight shades in our home. The size was a challenge. Ed did a great job.
