Smartland Home Renovation

Smartland provided a complete package of design, project management, and sub contractors, as needed. The job did take longer than expected, though the delays were mostly on our end and, more importantly for us, the project came in on budget. Communication was excellent, and the team came up with some creative ideas that really took the basement remodel to the next level. The end result is even better than we had hoped.

Matt was genuine and professional and listened to my needs. I will certainly refer him to family and friends. My basement looks outstanding.

The workers were diligent and respectful. Delivered good value. Communication concerning deliveries and work schedule could improve. Duration of project should have been shorter. Concern for satisfying the customer was evident. You will have difficult time finding a better contractor.

This was a major remodel with master bed, bath, and laundry added to first floor over a new full basement addition. The dining room and kitchen were moved and enlarged. The family room was re-oriented. We are the original owners of our home and had a new home building experience that was less than desirable. The re-model went much smoother and the quality of workmanship was outstanding. They stayed under budget and from ground-breaking to finish was 6 months. Smartland allowed the homeowner to do some of the electrical, plumbing feed lines, siding (though we ended up using a contractor), all insulation, painting, and all house vacuum system. Other contractors would not allow the homeowner to do any of the work because of liability issues. Smartland asked for bids on all major work (flooring, dry wall, concrete, framing, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and tiling) to find the least expensive, quality, contractor. Most importantly, Smartland promptly answered all phone calls and emails. They kept us informed and worked with us living in the home during remodeling. Our "old kitchen" was maintained until the new kitchen was up and running. Unlike the horror stories we heard about other contractors, Smartland was always on-site when they were scheduled. We didn't have months go by waiting for something to be done.
