About us

Since 1947 Smedley's has provided plumbing, heating and air conditioning service for residential and commercial clients located in the cities of Davis, Weber and Morgan County. Our experts plumbing technicians are all licensed Journeyman and Master Plumbers. Our Heating and Air Conditioning technicians are N.A.T.E. Trained and Certified, EPA and Rocky Mountain Gas Certified and are continually participating in continuing education in order to keep up with technology. You will find our office staff helpful and knowledgeable. We are members of the BBB, the Rocky Mountain Gas Association, Utah Heating & Air Conditioning Contractors Association, the Rocky Mountain Gas Association, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, and the American Backflow Prevention Association. Our professionals are family people so the understand people's needs. They have been third party homeland security background checked and approved. Our State of Utah licensing is always maintained.

They replaced my old water heater during an extremely busy period over the Columbus Day holiday. When the old water heater went out, they were the first company to fit me into their schedule. The bid was reasonable, even better than other companies I contacted. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

They did a great job! I needed my furnace repaired and another company said I needed the furnace replaced. Smedley came out, had the proper parts for the project, and was able to repair it for a fraction of the cost.

"This customer is correct. Our plumber should have never agreed to band aid the support underneath his poorly installed whirlpool tub. His recommendation should have been another way. The plumber has been reprimanded for his poor performance and we have apologized for his unprofessional performance. Had this homeowner reported this issue our employee would have been instructed to clean the mess up. But, because Mr. Homeowner cleaned up himself he was paid compensation for his time."

I felt they were overpriced. I already had a new toilet that I purchased from Lowes, so only installation was needed. Cost $303! Plus, the $60 service fee was added on to that, not credited. Friendly service, but overpriced for less than one hour of work.

They were done in about twenty minutes. They swapped out the capacitor, a $30 to $50 part. Bill was approx. $180. Last time I had this done, that company cut me some slack because of how simple and quick the job was.

They did not do anything except look at the drain under the sink and evaluate whether or not there was going to be problems. We had just purchased the house and the inspector thought that there could be problems. The person from Smedley told us that there should be no problems.

The repairman was fast and effiecient and I was definitey satified with the work. I have 2 water heaters that are places in a storeroom next to my basement family room. They have broken on 3 seperate occasions over the past 4 years and massive amounts of water have leaked into my family room. I would have liked some suggestions from the service technician on how to prevent this, such as putting a drip pan underneath the water heaters. Unfortunately, I now have to wait until they break again in order to do this.
