With a 3 year warranty on everything we touch except painting which is one year!

Rick drywalled our garage, revamped steps to make them safer and easier to climb, landscaped an area in our backyard and several jobs that were more than what a common person can do. He always kept us informed, made projects less expensive if it were possible and does quality work. He worked around OUR schedule. We will always call him first!

Ruck and his crew updated our garage. They finished in a timely manner and even worked around our Community Garage Sale. He was very conscientious about what we wanted to achieve. We are recommending SmithCo to our friends and neighbors.

They were quick and efficient with painting out hallway and guest room and ceilings. They did a great job smoothing out and mudding where the precious contractor and owners had caused uneven surfaces.

5+ Room Interior Painting or Staining
They removed the popcorn ceilings and painted them a smooth white. Some of the ceiling was very tall. They did it safely.

We had an agreement that once the work started they would stay with the job until done. If the winter snow/ice storm had not interfered, they would have met that agreement. They were back on the job as soon as safe to do. I appreciated that.

The painter did not come prepared on the first day with all supplies and had to loan him drop cloths. He had not known about the job until that morning. The paint job was great/looked amazing when finished, however had to pick up cigarette butts he threw on the ground so my dogs would not eat them. They were supposed to put a business sign in the yard and that never happened. To date, I have been unable to get the drop cloth that he took with him when Ron completed the job. Had to email the owner about it and per him was supposed to be returned by end of the week and that did not happen. Emailed again today and no response yet. Also, never got a final paid statement for records. Good work, but sloppy details and should never keep customers' supplies (drop cloth).

Remember that we came in and took over the paint job last minute to help you out, and that was leftover from the last two bad contractors you had, and they left us a mess! and we did it for half the price Because you asked us if we can lower the price to your budget and we did because that is what we do, is help people! Overall I think we did a good job considering. We did return your tarp which was an accident obviously got mixed in with ours. We are only human and make mistakes and Do not take customers concerns or complaints for granted, for I use them as a positive to improve ourselves for future jobs. W"

The owner is the one that came out to do our work and he was very professional and communicated when he was running a little behind. (Not even 30 minutes) Due to time constraints, he did not finish the job and called off the next couple of days due to illness, but we'd rather wait for him to come finish when the illness is over then us get sick. I expect the same quality service when he comes out to complete the job. I've already recommended him to a family member that needs some work done.

The contractor was personable and friendly, but he was never punctual and I ended up doing the ceiling edge painting myself as he was too busy to get back to my job. The popcorn ceiling was removed but I had to do the missed parts myself. I had to do the cleanup after light fixtures installed and one light had only 2 if the 4 wires connected and was not attached to the ceiling correctly. After he said work was completed and I paid him, the lights in the bedroom and bathroom did not work. When I contacted him, he was too busy with another job to come back. He sent another guy who was here for hours and left without fixing the problem, saying he would return the next day. I tried to call but got a message that the contractor was not taking calls. I never heard from this contractor again and stopped payment on my final check. Had to get someone else to complete the work who said the electrical wire was not even connected in the attic. I could never recommend this contractor due to shoddy work and failure to complete the job and not cleaning up after themselves. A shelf was broken and wall was gouged, and I was not informed of it and my broom and hose were used without permission. My job was held up in order for other jobs/bids and it was clear that my job was not a priority.

"Deborah Fitch was a nice lady until she owed me money. Also, she bought us pizza and muffins every day that we were there! So that's why I'm confused about these Comments. Even though she bashed me and failed to tell the truth here on Home Advisor, I am not going to do the same! But note: She cancelled my check right after she paid me. Even though she signed the agreement that she was 100% complete and satisfied! Which, I will not collect Payment from anybody unless they are 100% satisfied, and she was! Bottom line you can not please everyone, but I still try and will continue to try!"

We had a large exterior painting and staining job to be done that also included a fair amount of carpentry. Rick and his team were awesome to work with. They got the job done promptly and well, tended to all the details and communicated with us the entire time. We had some bad weather that could have really slowed things down, but they worked around it and used their time well. Excellent value for money and I would highly recommend them.
