DISHONEST and UNPROFESSIONAL!! If you decided to use this company after reading this and the other reviews warning you about how unprofessional and dishonest this company is, then you had better get a copy of their insurance BEFORE they do any work. Travis WILL NOT provide you insurance information for any damage that he does and when he has had enough of the conversation he will do the right thing for him and BLOCK your number!! When Travis (and all the other contractors) came to look at the job I warned them that we had a PVC pipe coming from the pool pumps to a above-ground discharge. Travis said I will probe the area to make sure we do not hit it. Smith and Son started off by failing to schedule us after we gave them the job. I had to contact them after not hearing anything back from them for some time and they admitted they dropped the ball. Travis and his crew showed up late every day and some days did not show up at all. He always had an excuse, but we brushed it off since we were not in a hurry to have the trees removed. After the work was done, we found out that Travis had damaged the PVC discharge pipe. So I text Travis with a picture to which he responded Well that is not good. The damage to the pipe was done by his grinding blades. The section of the pipe that is damaged is about two feet long. To fix this MINOR issue, all Travis would need to do is to dig up about four feet of soil (the pipe is in the corner of the flower bed so it is not the typical dirt you find in your back yard) put in two couplers, and two feet of PVC pipe. So keep this in mind if you think you are going to hire this company because the repair for the damage Travis did to my property was not an expense and yet Travis REFUSES to repair it or provide his insurance information. I never heard anything back from Travis about coming back to repair the pipe. We had a vacation scheduled and then had family in from out of the country. So a couple of months go by before I get a chance to contact him again about the repair. A good would have contacted us back after the very first text asking when they could come to fix the problem, but not Travis. After contacting Travis about the damage I had previously texted him about, he now claims he has no responsibility for the repair and REFUSED to fix it. After a few texts with Travis, I decided to call him. Surprise, Travis wouldn't answer his phone. So I text him asking him why he would pick up the phone, to which he text me You have said enough, I am Sorry. I then told Travis to give me his insurance company info and I would contact them to sort this out, Travis REFUSED and said I had no right to contact them since he wasn't responsible. He then text saying I had waited too long, I was being rude by asking him to fix it and for his insurance company. He then tells me that is BLOCKING my number and wished me the best on my MINOR repair. So you have been warned that Smith and Son are NOT going to take care of any problems that they cause to your property. And when Travis has had enough of the conversation he will BLOCK your number so he can move on and not have to deal with you and the problem he has created. If anyone has used them and has actually SEEN his insurance I would love to get a copy of it. After my dealings with him, I do not believe that they actually have any insurance since he REFUSED to provide it to me after he damaged my property Save yourself a lot of headache and time, use another company that actually cares about its customers and is adult enough to have a conversation with you rather than block your number so you cant contact them.

Travis is very personal and wants to please the customer. Efficient and hard. I will call him again for work I need to have done.

Travis is very polite and punctual. We have been pleased with the work he has done for us. He has done tree and bush trimming as well as dock repair. He leaves the property clean and neat when the job is complete. I highly recommend this company.

Travis was hired to clean up a new business location in the Freeport, TX area. He has always been on time and communicates with us on when he will be there. We have had him do other jobs at this location and we plan to continue to use him going forward. I would definitely recommend him for any of your site maintenance needs.

Travis resurrected my backyard garden fountain. He cleaned area, power washed the stones and got the fountain working. He communicated with me to let me know when project work would be done. He also switched out an electrical switch which was cracked. Pleasant experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend him if you have odd jobs, lawn and garden care needs. I wish I could add before and after photos. We expect to have other projects for him in the future. ð

Travis was very polite and courteous. He gave me plenty of notice of arrival and very willing to work with my schedule. He came across a pipe that was in one of the stumps and he didn't think twice about trying to remove it so as to finish grinding that stump. He is very neat and tidy in his work and we would recommend him to everyone.
