I was initially impressed by his coming to my home to diagnose the issue the same day, but it all went downhill from there. After getting approval, he promised me that he'd come the next day to do the work and did not. After waiting (and wasting) the entire afternoon, I finally called him at 7:17PM. He told me that he couldn't come again and PROMISED that he'd come at 8AM the next day and that he'd call me before he left Woodbridge. Not only did he not show up, but he never returned the repeated calls and texts from me and the warranty company for the next 6 days. He then said he'd come by today but clearly could not be trusted. I read the reviews for Smitty's Services and saw that other people had the same problem. I foolishly thought that wouldn't happen to me. We HAD to use a different company, which turned out to be AMAZING. They texted me the technician who was coming and even sent a picture of him. They came out within an hour and fixed the issue within 40 minutes. They even had the part on the truck already. ALTERNATIVE, RELIABLE & BETTER COMPANY TO USE: DB's Plumbing and Drain (703) 457-8686

After I explained the work I needed to be done, Smitty requested a deposit to purchase supplies and said he would return the following day. A few days pass and Smitty never showed up and did not respond to my calls or texts. When Smitty finally called me, he said he was in another state dealing with a family emergency and he told me he would be at my house the following week. Smitty did not show up and once again is unresponsive to my calls and texts. I would not recommend this contractor to anyone and if possible I would give him a zero star rating. But if you decide to give Smitty a chance, DO NOT give him any money until the job is complete!

He worked until the job was completed. I appreciate his service and hard work that he put into fixing the project.

Excellent workmanship, professionally done, no criticism as to skill and knowledge. I would just say he is difficult to get a hold of to get the project completed.

I'm very happy to have found Smitty.He does beautiful work seems to be a perfectionist.Smitty is a very Kind and caring person. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a good Handyman.

His work is excellent but the customer service is horrible.

Mr. Smitty did a thorough job from beginning to end. He removied a trellis from our patio that was destroyed by heavy wind. He deligently cut the poles into pieces to assist with hauling away all parts of the trellis. He also provided good advice regarding other jobs that I plan to hire him to complete. I highly recommend Mr. Smithy!!

The service was very good. He's very courteous , did it on scheduled time . He is a conscientious person about his work , cleaned up very well.

Smitty replaced my kitchen and bathroom faucets. He is polite, neat and efficient. He did the job right and we will call him again to do other small repairs around the house!

Smitty installed kitchen cabinets for me. He was very patient as I had to return one while he was here. He did a great job and cost was very reasonable.

I was intially looking for someone to remove insulation from my attic. Smitty gave me a call and said he was up for the job. The first few minutes into the conversation, it felt as though I was talking to family. Smitty came in, took care of the insullation removal with true professionalism. So much so that I hired him on the spot for another job! I needed my flooring removed (which was a mess, layer upon layers) and replace the damaged subflooring. He knocked it out with no problem. I've already recommeded Smitty to other family members in need of a handyman. Remind you, this is a few days after meeting him!! Any home improvement work that I need moving forward, I will not waste my time looking for another Handyman. Smitty is on speed dial...lol. He's fam now!!

wanted to rate a 5 but hit 4 by mistake

Very courteous and responsive. I would have given them a 5 on quality, but the area around one of the light switches they replaced was damaged a bit.

I am in the process of taking him to small claims court for a job not finished. I tried working with him to no avail. He installed improper wiring and I had to hire an electrician even though he said he could do it. I still have holes in my wall. I trusted him to come back because he was so nice but I haven't seen him since June 29. I He collected his money and kept telling me he would be back to finish I have sent certified letters so next step I am going to file papers in small claims court...Nice guy I thought

Smitty was awesome! My portico looked better than it did when the house was first built. Smitty and Lorenzo took their time and did a phenomenal job! Best looking portico on the block. Smitty also installed a kitchen faucet and dishwasher. I am going to use him for a number of upcoming projects. Smitty's the Best!!!!!!

I hired Mr. Smitty and Mr. Green, two times for big projects. Both times they showed up on time, completed all the work, took time to make sure they didn’t make a mess, and were professional whole time. The first time we hired then our air conditioner stopped working and their first concern was getting it to work again for my pregnant wife. They called someone they work with and he was there to fix it by the end of the night. I would highly recommend them and I plan on hiring them for other work around my house.

They are awesome! Very reasonably priced and their work was exceptional.
