Somehow these crooks were able to remove my review so I resubmit it below. Also, I have an added an update to the end of the review to keep all of your customers informed. Matt Gifford, please do not have this review removed as it is a true representation of your company performance. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend this company. They began our patio door and kitchen remodel in the middle of July 2018 and we signed a contract to be completed by October 21st, 2018. It is now Jan 16th, 2019 and the remodel is still not done. In addition to the ridiculous delay, there has been a screw up at every single step of the way. without exception... Every single subcontractor has messed up their specific part of the job. Our patio doors are rubbing together as they close and the deadbolt and door handle does not line up correctly. On the kitchen remodel Electric. Pot lights were flashing like a disco for several months, this was finally fixed. On the under cabinet lights, only some of these were working. Apparently, some of the cables were cut at some point turning the remodel Plumbing. Pot filler over the stove has been installed incorrectly because we no longer have hot watered. Also when the sink was reinstalled the waste disposal now leaks. Kitchen cabinets. Wrong door fronts were ordered and they do not match existing doors at all. Granite. Was cut incorrectly and there is a gap where it butts up to the sink. Looks awful General trim. There is a 1/4 inch gap all the way around the back door so I can see right into my garage from the kitchen when the door is closed. Do not be fooled by these guys and their soft-spoken patter. Matt the owner will tell you about much of a Christian he is but will lie to your face. The backsplash is a joke... The grout line between the tile runs from 1/32 of an inch in places to over 1/2 inch in other spots. UPDATE. Over the past couple of months with all of this rain, now all four patio doors are leaking like crazy. There is literally gallons of water in my basement. Also, one of the basement patio doors does not open or close. It is jammed closed. Also now my under cabinet lights are flashing, just out of the blue for no reason, they begin flashing. I will be calling the BBB and the licensing board tomorrow morning. I will also be formally filing a lawsuit in an effort to recover all of my money. Anyone considering using this company, please feel free to call me on the number I have listed for more details. I will be happy to send you videos and pictures of their work.

"To begin with, we haven't removed any reviews. We have no control over Home Advisor reviews. Secondly, our initial contract included reworking the deck which was improperly flashed against the house which caused the downstairs door damage in the first place. No matter how much work was done on those lower floor doors, without the deck flashing being fixed, they're going to continue to leak. This was explained. You asked us not to do that work even though you signed a contract agreeing to do it. We allowed you to back out of that contract at your request. The door is jammed because the water has soaked the wood. About the cabinets: We explained UP FRONT that we couldn't guarantee an exact match on those cabinet doors unless you replaced them all and you still wanted us to replace those doors instead of replacing all of them. About the pot filler: As I explained on the last review you left, the pot filler isn't supposed to be connected to a hot water supply. We're always willing to come and make adjustments or repairs to the work we've done. That's why we guarantee our work. Anyone who's ever done remodel/construction work knows sometimes further adjustments/repairs are needed. In a vast majority of the cases, people will call the contractor back and tell the contractor they're not satisfied with the work and would like it re-done. We care about the work we do and if one of our partners or subcontractors doesn't do a good job, we don't continue to use them and will always be willing to come make it right. We've never gotten a call from you asking us to make any repairs. Instead, you would rather come on here and disparage our company and talk about how "unchristian" we are. Anyone reading our reviews can look at the rest of them and see that we're not shady, fly by night scammers. We have integrity and work hard every day to earn our clients' trust and respect. Ian, if you want us to come and correct the lighting or electrical issues or upstairs trim carpentry, we're a phone call away and would have been happy to come and fix it to your satisfaction. However, we cannot be responsible for you not repairing your deck flashing. We properly repaired the downstairs doors and siding (which was damaged because the deck was improperly flashed in the first place). If you think going to the BBB and filing a lawsuit is the right way to handle this, that's your prerogative. We have plenty of pictures of the work we did and you have never called to ask us to come back and make any adjustments so it might be difficult to convince anyone that you just want these few things fixed; if you did, all you had to do was call us. If, however, you've decided now, after almost a year has gone by, that you want US to pay for your decision to forgo the deck repairs, that's not going to happen. We didn't charge you any fees for the check you bounced, and we ate over $3000 dollars you still owed when we were done because we were under the impression that's what it would take to make you happy. Moreover, we're still prepared to send a master electrician out to make whatever adjustments are necessary, a plumber to look at the disposal and a trim carpenter to adjust the garage door. Do not use this company. There people are not employees, they are temporary laborers. They dont show up to work. We lost a lot of money to these crooks.

We are so impressed with Smooth Touch Construction! Very professional customer service, and exceptional attention to detail. We had popcorn ceilings removed, and ceilings/walls painted, our 25 year old house feels like new! Everything was accomplished in a timely manner and the mess of removing popcorn was contained with little impact on the rest of our living spaces. We have already recommended them to family and friends in town.

Our deck is great! The building crew kept on task and made sure things were cleaned up after finishing. Easy to work with. Particularly liked the fact they dealt with obtaining permits.

My kitchen remodel was pretty straightforward to be finished in 5 weeks. Took 8 weeks and I was without a kitchen counter top, sink and faucet for 29 days. If your job requires making arrangements for someone to be at the home during the remodel, these are not folks you will be able to use. Lots of "no shows".
