I had nearly the exact experience as Katy. I was contacted today by phone to advise they would be processing an automatic renewal. They claim it is in the original contract though cannot produce that contract. Further, they claim they sent a notice of automatic renewal (as required) by postcard but cannot produce any evidence they did so. I offered them half of their cancellation fee after notifying them of my intent to cancel. They demanded payment by the end of the day or they would refer the bill for collection on debt not yet 12 days old (or a debt same day if you use the cancellation fee notice as the starting point). Highly unprofessional and disorganized. They provided the service contracted (for snow removal) but heaven help you if you have a need to contact their office. Also, just so everyone is clear, they are obligated to provide written notice of autorenewal which has to be RECEIVED by you 30 days to 60 days prior to renewal. I keep good track of my mail and where I miss, my wife sees it I saw no notice from them and even per their own words, they didn't send any notice until 30 days out, which means even if true, it was not received in time. I suspect (strongly) it was not true and they cannot provide any evidence that it was (nor can they/will they provide a fully executed contract which they had the obligation to do).

I urge you to reconsider your snow and lawn care service provider. The person who operates the customer service part of this business is incredibly rude, disrespectful and threatening. While the employees were prompt and did a good job with our snow removal last year, the company leadership does not offer an empathetic or service mindset when interacting with customers. They use sarcasm, contempt and threats when communicating via email. This morning, I received the first email ever from Snow and Lawn Care Services, notifying me that I needed to update my payment method for my auto-renewal â it was as straightforward as that. I responded stating that we wish to cancel as donâ t have needs to snow removal this year. The responses from their service rep continued to escalate into more sarcastic tone, contempt and ended with a threat to send my account to COLLECTIONS if I did not pay their unreasonable $350 cancellation fee by end of day. This email arrived at 1 pm, which did not give me time to confer with my husband. They forced us to cancel, made claims of being courteous (by mailing two notices of auto-renewal), and failed to make contact via phone or email until AFTER the auto-renewal timeframe elapsed. I pointed out that a mailed postcard does not scream attention required and that I responded immediately to their email correspondence. Their response, â we mostly have positive responses and people are happy to be auto-renewedâ ¦ Unfortunately for you, you obviously didnâ t read the contract.â Those are just a few snippets from our communication.

Terrible, terrible customer service. Hard sell, tell you they are doing you a favor adding to the route. The three people I spoke with were SUPER rude, and then said I was rude. AWFUL company. We have barely gotten started. One mow. I called to ask questions and they act like the customer (aka ME) is a total idiot. Mike Paul and whoever, all sound exactly the same with the exact same attitude toward customers. Hopefully their service is better than their conversational customer service skills. I can only give a 2.5 for that because they have mowed once. And they showed up so that is great.

This is a review for the SNOW REMOVAL side of this business. It is not an option to select this aa a service performed. BEWAEE of this company. Sales tactics to encourage you to sign up("You better act fast, you are late to signing up. No one else is going to have room for you."). Once you have signed the contract you are STUCK with this company that has terrible customer service(don't return calls, condescending and rude when you are able to connect) and extremely OVERPRICED. I went on to get 3 additional quotes that were all half the price. When they failed to do the job of snow removal within 24 hours of a snowfall, they fell back on a ridiculous clause in contract that gave them 7 days to fix the complaint. This isn't just because the winter of 2023-24 had little snowfall. I regretted the decision the day after signing on in October of 2023. I made a complaint to the MN Attorney General, and this company didn't even bother to respond in any way. I wish I would have taken the time to research this company before signing on. Low reviews in many places that warn of this very thing happening to the.

Hired them to remove snow from driveway and deck. Always showed up late, sometimes days late, and always did a terrible job. When they left me stranded in a blizzard, their excuse was that the weather was bad. When I called to complain, they were rude, dismissive and actually mocked me. These are the worst service providers I've ever encountered in my life. I had to sue them to get my money back. Even though I got a judgment against them, they wont pay it. Would have been better off challenging the payment through my credit card. Under no circumstances should you ever hire them to do anything.

I signed up for service last summer. Every time they dont show up, take a photo. Then call your credit card, Mastercard gave me my money back once I had proof.

No, just no. Called and threatened to turn me over to a collection agency. I had no idea what they were talking about. Condescending, laughed at my protest, said they have dealt with lawyers with these contracts before and they will win, on and on and on. Told me it was not their fault that I did not read their contract, and it was not their fault that I did not read my U.S. mail, however, they failed to read the email I sent canceling. Unwilling to listen to anything I had to say. I did not cancel my continuing contract before March 15th of this year and therefore, I had to pay them. Incredibly rude and attempted to bully me. When I sent them the email I had sent on March 14th, proving I had indeed canceled there was no apology. Their practices are deceptive, unfair, and non-negotiable.

The rudest most unaccountable company I have ever worked with. Customer service is not in their vocabulary. Overpriced and unreliable

No response to texts, emails or phone calls. They blew all the snow from the driveway onto the sidewalk leading from the house to the garage & then refused to clear off the sidewalk, & so my wife, (who is 70 yrs. old), had to go out and clear a path through 3 feet of snow. Extremely disappointed, especially since their rates are very high.

I contracted their service and they did a very poor job. Not cleaning out the walkways to the street and not opening up the driveway. They also skipped the public walkway on our property. Their contract states they would clean the walkways, and public sidewalks, and drive within 24 hours. They have not finished the work until 48 hours later. They do not respond to my texts, emails, or phone calls.

It takes them 2 to 3 days to do the work during and after a snowfall, the quality of the work is not very good and not worst the money, poor communication, they are no giving details of the agreement, He did not give prior notice of taking money out of my bank account for another year of service. Always read the small print of the agreement before sighing in.

The price is outrageously high and unwarranted.

They pressure people to sign-up without getting other quotes, making you feel like they are doing you some huge favor. I signed up with them and paid them on 11/30/22 and then later that day, I decided to cancel. When I called them up, they said I can not cancel. They said they have me on a recorded line saying I agreed to pay and that there was no refund policy. I told them that things had changed and it was never my plan to cancel but I needed to cancel and they would not listen, just kept repeating their stupid policy. They like the profit that customers generate but they do not know how to treat their customers. I want a refund as they still have not performed any service yet because there has been no snow but they wont budge. They are greedy and I want everyone to know. They have many negative ratings (1-star and 2-star) on Home Advisor and are bad too! DO NOT HIRE THEM!

Buyer beware! Company charged $950 for 3 and 1/2 hours of service, outrageous! Very unfriendly service. Contract started with a $200 non-refundable deposit, which I did accept and had no objections to, but they also retained my credit card info and that left me without any leverage or method of resolving objections to their work or the ludicrous total sum. Instead, they just get to charge what they want to charge. Customers need to know what a ripoff organization this company is!

I just contracted them for snow removal for this coming Winter and am hopeful I will be happy with their services. Kurt was able to answer my questions while on the phone with him. So far they have been prompt and responsive and I will post another review with my satisfaction level after the season is over.

The first mow should have been an indication of how the rest of the season would go. It was a half-ass job. After I called, Kurt sent them back to redo the work; but it was a battle all summer long. Sometimes the trimming was completed, sometimes it was not. Sometimes they showed up regularly, sometimes they did not. I mowed my lawn a few times because it was so bad. They were careful to mow around the water dish for the dog, (instead of moving the bowl), but managed to hit each downspout that they were supposed to move out of the way. The MOST disappointing part, over and above the poor, inconsistent, quality, was calling to discuss a window accidentally being broken, and being shouted at by Kurt. Not only was I shouted at for the window, but also for stating that they damaged the downspouts. I am still perplexed about how the damage occurred if they did not do it. I will not be hiring them again. if there was an option for zero stars...

Here we are sunday nite at 7:00 - no promised Sunday cut in an every other week service, prepaid. This is an overpriced and unreliable service. First week was supposed to be a Friday, pushed to a Saturday. This time, Sunday did not happen and Monday is supposed to rainy.,. Neighbors have mowed on each side, as first cut did not even cut to the property line. Terrible !! The website will not even allow me to select service - lawn mowing that is NOT happening.

Unaccommodating and unprofessional. Not even willing to take ownership of the fact that they did a bad job. All he will say is that they missed some areas.

I am completely disappointed, and I would not recommend this company to anyone. We paid close to $2000 for snow removal and salting. They frequently show up well after the contracted 24h period, and we are forced to clear it ourselves. They frequently miss entire areas when they do show up on time. They are often unresponsive to messages. On top of all of that, there was a weird request from them to dispute the credit card charge. Yes, *they* asked *us* out of the blue to dispute the charge so they could charge us again due to some song and dance about how they had not received the money from the payment processing. I never fully understood but I obliged and wasted a bunch of time filling out bank forms and talking to bank employees. The bank rejected the dispute and now there are odd remarks on my credit report. They also never use their last names in communications, not even on the service contract.

I hate to rain on a parade that generally seems positive, but the only quick response I have gotten from the company was when I originally signed up for a season of snow removal. Had a operation in early January which precluded me this winter from clearing my driveway and walks. Since that time, I must have ended up on the bottom of the list to have my walks attended to. Phone calls go to voice mail and are returned late if at all. My walks and driveway are ultimately cleared after after at least 24 hours, marooning my wife and me for extended periods while we wait for someone to show up. Thank goodness for a group of attentive neighbors who frequently show up after a day or so to clear out the driveway so we can attend to what are busy and full schedules. I must confess the decision to bite on their quick offer without much more thorough research stands out as one of the most ill-advised of my life.

Overall service was great. Great customer service that responded swiftly and great professional work done with the snow removal. I'm not sure how they got a bad customer service rating but I can tell the company definitely matured, in Minnesota at least. One thing I do recommend is for them is to update their services where we'll be able to know the professional's ETA. I was on a time crunch with my personal life and had no idea when they were coming to remove snow on the day of. I had to contact customer service to reach out to them. They always showed up very timely however so not a big deal.

I am very happy with this company. I definitely recommend them. I found them in March 2021 when researching lawn care companies for my home in Minneapolis. I saw right away that they were a verified business with Google, which to me further increased my trust. Unlike other companies, I consistently get through when I call them vs. being sent to an answering service. Additionally, they have been in the lawn service industry for years. The team genuinely is seeking to do good work, and they are nice people. Mike is a manager for the company, and I had the pleasure of meeting him when an onsite assessment occurred. As a first time homebuyer, I was clueless on what goes into lawn care. Mike explained to me the different service options and showed me how his company differentiates itself. Some lawn companies will simply send random people each week for cuttings; this company focuses on a standard team throughout your service. Each neighborhood will have a specialist leader; in my case it is Daniel. Daniel is very friendly and nice as well. The team does professional work. There is a difference one can notice in my lawn. They usually send more than one person to my property, which reduces the time they are present while still doing excellent work. When the team comes, they pay attention to detail, creating a clean look, and do not take shortcuts. There is a service I also recommend called "spring cleanup" and "fall cleanup" My spring cleanup included cutting of shrubs and leaf cleanup. The price is very fair, and in some cases it was lower than competitors. I am glad I selected this company, and I am a satisfied customer.
