SoTex Concrete

The workers were sloppy with their work. They put footprints on my driveway., they dirtied up my exterior wall ,they left holes in my concrete and instead of taking away the dirt and rocks away they just patted it down even with my lawn. I feel that I was taken advantage of because I'm a disabled veteran with a bad leg. I'm very disheartened over the whole ordeal.

April 11 2024 Thursday SoTex Concrete arrived as scheduled to install a sidewalk in a narrow side yard. That same day they removed the forms and I paid for the work. The next day when the concrete was dry and I could get into the side yard I noticed two edges needed buffing off. May 22 Wednesday. 41 days later. We had completed the back deck rebuild that was using the side yard as access route and I contacted Victor to smooth out the edges on the concrete side walk. June 6 Thursday. 15 days later. I contacted him again if he had a time frame for smoothing out the edge and he said â Iâ m trying to put you on the scheduleâ â Hopefully Saturdayâ June 11 Tuesday. 5 days later. I again asked about the status and Victor apologized, he said it was very busy and gave me his word he was trying to get to me. July 6 Saturday. 25 days later. I text him asking for an update. Victor responds that he can come by July 8 to look at and can pull a guy this coming week. July 8 Monday. Victor did show to look at the problem. He said it was a 10 minute fix and he would be in the area July 11th or 12th Thursday or Friday and would take care of it. July 11 â July 12. No show July 13 Saturday. Victor txtd he wouldnâ t be able to get by because it is raining. So, he was a no show on the 11th or 12th as scheduled but waited until the 13th to text me and use that current rain as an excuse.

Owner operates as a third party contractor. He does not oversee the project nor is he there to inspect completion. I practically begged him to come and see the mess and terrible job that was done. I gave him over a month to do so. He never showed up. He continued to send his workers who never solved the issues. I now have a huge eye sore in front of my home, along with concrete stains on my house and grass. Buyer beware.

Hired soltex (victor) and they did a concrete slab 20x30 and pour concrete over an existing slab around the same size.Work was done in two days.. All looked great in the beginning. Three weeks later I notice about 5 long cracked lines in different area..each about 10 foot long cracks lines..I continue to try to reach victor but never returns calls or messages.. He says there was a year warranty on my 8,000 dollar email.receipt.. Now about a month later he cannot be reached and he is not a person of their word .I would lookelsewere if planning to some concrete work.

Very dissatisfied with his lazy work, he is negative to respond to my concern.

We hired SoTex to demo and repair our driveway. I called and scheduled on Friday and they were here doing the work by Tuesday. They did a top tier job and I would hire them again.

Victor really wanted my business. He came to the site right away, got the project requirements and gave me a bid on the spot. It looked good, but it was the first bid, and I wanted to compare. Two other contractors failed to even show up as promised, and a third contractor was higher. One of the no-shows called me to tell me he hadn't forgotten about me, and I told him SoTex concrete was already finished their form work and were waiting for the concrete. Victor had promised a one day job. The first concrete truck got lost, and the second truck got there really late in the day. In spite of these challenges, Victor's crew worked late into the night to keep their commitment. One of the slabs he poured was for a Tuff Shed, and the Tuff Shed site inspector came and declared the slab was perfect, and it was a two level slab. The dimensions were spot on, and the slab was square and level. I would definitely use SoTex concrete again.

I had already received a quote from another concrete company (B Martinez) and decided to give that company a try since, he was refer by a friend of a friend. We set a time and date for them to start the project the following week 10/24/2022. The start day came (no call, no show). I contacted the company for a week via text and phone calls with no response. I finally text them on Wednesday 11/2/2022 and told them I no longer needed their service. On Wednesday 11/2/2022, I decided to take a chance and put in a request on Angi list. Boy, Am I'm glad. SoTEX responded immediately and within a hour Victor was at my front door prepare to give me a quote. The quote was a fair price and He stated he can have his guys start on Friday 11/4/2022. He called on Friday and let me know they was on their way. Victor was very courteous, prompt and professional at all times. His crew show up on time and did an excellent job on laying down a concrete slab. They constructed and completed the project all the same day. The crew even cleaning up after them and locked my gate after they was finished. I am very glad with the result and professionalism. Victor realized his client time is just as important as the project. Thank you Victor.

Quality work at a fair price is hard to find these days. Luckily, after 3 overpriced bids, I stumbled upon SoTex Concrete. Victor was knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions. I will definitely be using them for future projects and feel confident in referring them to my family and friends.

I had my driveway and sidewalk replaced. Victor was very timely and professional at all times. His crew did an excellent job replacing my driveway. Demolition one day and complete install the next. The work done was very professional with outstanding end results.

Victor was professional during every encounter, even handled an awkward encounter with a fellow contractor while we were getting quotes with class. The day after he called to check on the work because of a rain storm. The crew that came to do the work was terrific. It was like haveing an uncle and a nephew come in and do the work. They worked quick and the finished work looks terrific. They were quiet and didn't disturb me working from home. When they were done the worksite was spotless. My family and I can't thank SoTex Paving enough. we are ready for many BBQ's and parties on our enlarged patio.

Hired SOTEX to install a 13 foot by 25 foot concrete slab for a future carport. Mr. Victor Garcia came to my site and provided an estimate. I agreed with his estimate, as it was the best of three estimates received. The work began the next day and was completed on time and at the estimated cost. I am very pleased with the quality of work performed. Mr. Garcia was very interactive with the crew performing the actual work to ensure that the work was completed to my satisfaction. Would hire this company again.

Up front, Mr. Garcia was absolutely great. His crew was the hardest working people I saw. The job really looked great, but I did encounter some issues afterward. I contacted Mr. Garcia and he had his foreman check my issues. I was informed they would be taken care of. I contacted Mr. Garcia and advised him that he was hospitalized and would get in touch with me once he was well. About 45-50 days have passed with nothing happening. I texted him several times and he became very irritated and again advised me that he was a man of his word and that issues would be taken care of. No contact for over two more weeks. I understand his situation of being sick, but apparently, nothing can be taken care of without him. If it were not for this, I would highly recommend him to anyone, but from what I have been experiencing, I would not consider him for any additional At this point, I do not even know if he is still in business.

The contractor did not listen to my desires for this project. He left a mess when he left.

The work was completed in the time frame quoted when given the estimate. The work area cleaned up after work was completed. There was always someone present that I could communicate with.
