I hired this company for a last-minute real estate move-out clean service on Mothers Day. This was my first time hiring for such a service, so I did not know what to expect. After looking at several sites and asking questions, I thought I understood what *service*? the companies provided. I talked to Valerie on a Friday before and she agreed to take the job. We agreed to meet at the property (a small two-bedroom, 2 bath home, less than 1300 s.f.) on Sunday at 10 AM. Valerie called me the day of about 9:30 AM and stated she was running behind and would call me when she was on her way. She called back about 10:45 AM and asked when the people were moving in and if she could go the next day on Monday. I told her no because the people were moving in the next day. She said okay and said she would call me when she was on her way. She finally called back a little after 12:00 PM to say she was on her way. When I got to the property at about 12:30 PM, the previous owner was at the property and Valerie was unloading her car. I noticed her bin had limited supplies (basically some glass cleaner, some Dawn dishwashing liquid, and some paper towels). The owner brought some plastic store bags (i.e., Walmart-type bags) to pick up dog poop in the backyard, and Valerie asked if she could have one. I thought that was strange but overlooked it. She ended up using the bag to empty her vacuum container and for used paper towels. She immediately started vacuuming as the previous owner gave a final walkthrough to make sure everything was out. The house was not bad but needed vacuuming, mopping, and other general cleanings. After the owner left, I noticed Valerie was cleaning the countertops with the Dawn dishwashing liquid and a sponge. Since that was the only *cleaning* product I saw, perhaps that is what she used to clean all surfaces (i.e., countertops, bathtubs, showers, etc.). I thought it was strange, but that is not my field. I asked Valerie what all she would do and she mentioned vacuum, clean the bathrooms, cabinets, blinds, window sills, and appliances. I asked if she had a broom because I wanted her to sweep out the leaves in the garage. She said no. I asked if she would clean the ceiling fans. She mentioned she did not have a ladder for the ceiling fans. I told her there was a 2-step ladder in the garage because there were no vaulted ceilings. I asked how long it would take because I needed to leave and would come back to pay her and lock up. It was about 1 PM and she said she would be finished in about an hour. I asked her to call me when she is about 30 minutes finished and I would head back. She called a little after 2 PM. When I arrived, it smelled clean and she immediately mentioned she cleaned the ceiling fans. As I walked through, I noticed a shelf liner on the master bath counter. I removed it and there was hair and some debris left on the countertop. She apologized, turned on the faucet to wet her hand and wiped the area with her wet hand, and rinsed her hand under the faucet leaving the counter wet. She then said she forgot to vacuum the master closet and went back to get her vacuum and cleaned it. I then noticed she did not vacuum the coat closet in the living room. I pointed it out and a few other spaces in the living room and she vacuumed those areas. I went ahead and paid her via Zelle and she left. As I walked through a final time, I questioned if the blinds or window sills were cleaned. One of the blinds in the master bedroom had a dead fly on the backside with splatter on the window. I cleaned it. The fireplace mantle had not been wiped, let alone any of the baseboards. Thankfully the previous owners were not filthy or this would have been a disaster. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I would not use this provider again nor recommend them to my friends, family, or business associates.
